He has received clearance to play. This is a very important section of the season. His team abslolutely needed him out there. As a coach, I would hope he plays, even just a little.
That was before he twiked it in practice. And yes the KingS needs him on the floor: HEATHLY.

as an aside did anybody catch gerald wallace's comments regarding the new kings?

from espn.com

Gerald Wallace expected to be fired up to play against the Sacramento Kings. Instead, he felt an overwhelming letdown when the group that took the floor looked nothing like his former team....

"A lot of the excitement was down because a lot of the guys I played with are gone or didn't play," Wallace said. "The feeling wasn't there that I thought would be there. It didn't feel the same. It didn't feel like the same team."

Of course it'll feel like a new team...almost all the players on court were new players for the Kings this season. Except for Bibby!

i think you need to calm down a bit...breathe...i can just imagine you all red...heat just radiating off of you

its just one person't opinion let it roll off your shoulder :)

Be Cool
it is same with what happen to Bobby last year. That is not valid critizism when someone is hurt and can not play it is not thier fault.

Two general comments to sum up the game:

1) Mike Bibby doesn't play well, we can't win--That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

2) Brian Skinner was the Kings best player-'nuff said.

was i the only one who was confused who was who when both Brian and Mo were on the floor at the same time?

they both have no hair

at one point i was like "okay why is Brian Skinner taking a 3?" lol

I can tell them apart...LOL. Skinner is more bigger.

But I have to say....there was once I thought Mo was Matt Barnes! :(

Another thing I forgot to mention about today's game...the energy was there. Just silly plays.

Brickie. Appropriate grades as usual. You are very focused to do so well night after night.

Well folks, based on tonight's game, a new line-up may be in order:

Starters: Mike Bibby (PG), Cutino Mobley (SG), Peja Stojakovic (SF), Brad Miller (PF), and Brian Skinner (C). I agree with posters wanting to place Brad at Power-Forward and bring in Skinner. It would allow Miller to play point, and thus, control the game despite the presence of so many newcomers.

Principal bench players may have to be:

Eddie House, Kenny Thomas, Darius Songaila, and Corliss Williamson.

Odd men out appear to be:

Mo Evans, Kevin Martin, Greg Ostertag.

Consistency really counts. Bibby can have an occassional awful game and expect major minutes in the next game. Younger role players like Evans and Martin are judged more severely. I suppose Ostertag will play some when we face Shack.

You know what....you have a really good point. Comparing he and Bobby makes me see things a little differently. Maybe if Peja had shown a propensity to be tough, I would have given him the benefit of the doubt. He hasn't, so I didn't. I should have. He has a hamstring problem and I hear that those are toughy, and we don't want re-occurring injuries.

From espn.com recap:

House started five games and averaged 23 minutes before the Bobcats released him in December because he didn't want to take a diminished role after they signed Kareem Rush. Now with his hometown Kings, House took a jab at Charlotte before the game when he said: "I didn't want to sit on the bench on a team that doesn't have a shot at the playoffs. If I was going to sit on the bench, I'll sit on the bench with a contender."

He finished with three points -- all coming on a 3-pointer at the end of the game.
What a jab from Eddie!

No worse than some of the things Wallace has said about his former team.

:D
Difference was that at least Gerald backed it up.

Could have used you out there Eddie! When you diss a team, you might want to kinda have a game against them to make it stick! ;)

Speaking of dissing, they just played a sound bite from Adelman's interview after the game. Voisin asked him a question (hard to hear, something about a let down after the trade) he said, Next question. Monty is getting huge kick out of it, because he doesn't like Aileen much. According to him (another media member) Voisin has been warned by people within the organization and in the press, that to avoid such embarrassing situations, she shouldn't try to talk to Adelman....ever.

Pretty good odds that tomorrows column will have several Adelman snipes in it;)

hehehe ... that is funny. Honestly, I'm surprised Adelman even bothers talking to her, he knows she's going to attack him no matter what he does.

He doesn't bother talking to her, that's half the problem. She really can't stand that.

You know that nice beautiful new monitor I have that you have complimented me on? Well, picture it with Thousand Island dressing, a crouton and some greens stuck all over it.

Thanks. The minions and I needed a good laugh.

Bibby ( F ) -- Mike came crashing back to earth with a THUD you could hear all the way back in Sacramento. I know he had to be looking out on the floor and wondering who hell were these guys, and what have they done with my team? I know I was. but that's still no excuse for it being THIS bad. All sorts of turnovers, everything from miscommunications, to getting his pocket picked and having it knocked off his leg. Had nothing on his shot either. Looked pretty dispirited out there. Kept on waiting for him to come to life and us to ride a little Mike rush to an ugly win, but just never happened.
House ( D ) -- after a string of hot shooting nights, House came out here tonight and did absolutely nothing. Hit no shots until a meaningless three at the closing buzzer. Was a total non-factor out there and was wearing Jason Hart like a shirt on offense. Best that can be said for eddie is at least he wasn't throwing the ball all over the floor like the rest of the Kings.
Watching this game, I began to wonder if perhaps the Bibby boys were out celebrating Mike's POTW honors last night.

Oh, well. On to Orlando!

Good Grades Brick, I would have to agree with all of them this time.

I have one thing to add: I do not mind Peja not playing if he is injured. I want him to be 100% when he gets back on the Court, but please please please stop Yawning on the side lines during the games it makes you seem like you would rather be somewhere else. I do not know if anyone has picked up on it but I have seen him yawning a few times in the past couple games. I am afraid that they are going to pan over to him sleeping in his chair..

Sorry I had to rant a little bit. Get well soon Peja we need you.......
