Good Things

In lieu of all the negative feelings surrounding our team this off season (of which I have had many), I thought it might be a good idea to think on some good things about the team. It may just be the teacher in me, but some positive stuff may be good for morale. I'm not talking about manufactured compliments, but true good things on which to focus. This is not to pretend that there is not a long road ahead for improvement, but just a remindeder that we are not Hawks or the Hornets. So let's hear it. I'll start.

1. We will start the new season healthy (fingers crossed) because nobody needed surgery this summer.

2. We have experienced players.

3. We have some young guys who want to prove they belong in the NBA.

HELP ME OUT WITH SOME MORE GOOD THINGS!

4. We are no longer under a 3 year/$60 million contract.

5. We have tradeable pieces to aquire decent players.

6. We have one of the best, if not the best, GM's in the league.

10. the owners seem to be willing to slightly open their wallet to win the championship (*thinks "positive thinking" over and over again*

T'was hinted at in the opening post, but not listed as an official "good thing":

14. They are not the Hawks or the Hornets.

15. we have the monarchs to carry on sacramento's name

16. we have peja stojak... oh wait... "scratch number 16"

18. we have defensive studs......oh my bad...wrong team....i thought this thread was about the pistons.;) :D

19. we still have Greg ostertag to entertain us with "singing in his underwear"

20. There is a chance of a lock out

Sacramento does too have defensive studs....they're called the Monarchs. ;)

21. We still have the Maloofs as owners.

22. we have no thugs/druggies on our team that i would be ashamed to root for ( stephan jackson, jermaine o neal, bonzie wells, rasheed wallace etc etc)

Not concerned over playing the Lakers anymore. :)
Wonder who they're taking in the lottery? Oh well, knowing Jerry Buss, he'll pull something outta his *** and sign someone like LeBron or something like he always does with bringing in the big FA's to the beach.*L*

Well technically LeBron isn't a FA (but could, however, become a malcontent after last years disappointment, and depending on who comes to coach), but I hear ya, LaLa Land has always been appealing to the general NBA "player" public. But this time ONLY if they land Phil. As they are now, playing with the Kobme's can't look appealing to FA's who care about hardware.

Doh!!! Almost got off track there, sorry....

Another good thing: No worries about looking forward to the lottery. :D
