The Kings return home as the season winds inexorably towards the end. Boogie should get a rousing welcome, especially after his latest performance of 24/21/10/6/3...and because more and more fans are realizing just how freaking awesome he truly is.

We'll also see the official NBA debut of the first player of Indian descent when Sim Bhullar joins the team on his 10-day contract. What we won't see is Rudy Gay play, since he's still recovering from a concussion he suffered in the Grizzlies game.

Those of you attending the game should also see a new line of merchandise in the team store as "Sauce Castillo" takes hold at the marketing level.

It should be an interesting game. My guess is that New Orleans is going to have a much more difficult time with the Kings than they did on their home court. My purple-tinted crystal ball says to expect another mind-shattering performance by the Boogie Monster.

GO KINGS!

I agree -
Demarcus is going to want to hang a loss on Tyreke and Davis' necks, keeping them from the playoffs.

In fact, he may be so motivated to beat NO that he gets some roleplayers to have good games, just in fear of Boogie's wrath if they F up this game.

I root for the Kings, always. And I could give a rat's ass about the lottery. BUT, I also want to live vicariously through Tyreke Evans and Anthony Davis in the playoffs, so it won't hurt my feelings if we lose.

But, also, win, though. Go Kings!

Hopefully we are not resting players for the off-season............

I wish JT the best of luck defending AD tonight. If we start Landry at PF...it might be another long night.

Cousins goes for 60....

...combined pts, rebounds, assists, blocks, steals.

... hopefully we can actually ride one of his Godmode performances and get a W.

Hope Sim gets some burn tonight. We should take advantage of these last few games to see if he's ready to play some minutes at the NBA level. That'd be one less hole we have to worry about heading into the off-season if he has some good showings at the end of the year.

What's nice is we don't need a lot out of him. If he can get back on defense and get position, grab a few boards, and be 7'6 while patrolling the paint, that'll be more than good enough for Boogie's back-up on the cheap.

He he grows several inches to 7'6" we'll indeed be doing pretty good.

May not need to lose weight at all, just keep on growing without adding any more and stretch it out vertically. :)

Heads up for those of you not watching the pre-game:

Don't be alarmed. That really is Batman, Tony Stark, Robin, Wonder Woman, etc. in the stands. It's Comic Con night at Sleep Train. :p

Fantastic comments by Vlade in the pre-game. I'm recording them and if I get a chance I'll transcribe them. A couple of important things: he mentioned DMC and Rudy specifically, saying we need to help them reach their potential. As far as who we go for on draft day, he said we need someone who is ready to play in the NBA - not a project.

It is abundantly clear listening to Vlade that he is going to be very involved in working with the players, helping to do what it takes to 'bring excitement back to Sacramento," to the fans who deserve it. :)

Vlade being a part of the FO is such a big step in the right direction.

I don't care if he's relatively unproven for his role.... Vlade gets points for being Vlade.

What I love about Vlade is that he seems to have a legit basketball mind. He's not just a PR move.... I think his time managing Serbia's national team taught him much about how to run a team and I'm glad to have another real professional in the FO.

Watching the pre-game festivities, it seems a lot like the way Arco used to be. There's an excitement that's almost palpable. Fans smiling and having fun. It's been a long time but I think the life may be back in the old barn. How can it not be with Boogie putting up astronomical numbers and VLADE DIVAC in the house? It's a good time to be a Kings fan.

I LOVE THIS TEAM!

Hrm. I do believe I'm seeing ... um ... what do you call it ... 'Defense"? Interesting.
