1-4 flat for Ben? huh...anyway entertaining game. over and out!
Not quite sure a B-Mac iso-play is my first choice to close out a game

I don't care; I'll still take him over Landry.
People...it's preseason. Malone was just trying to see what Ben would do in a situation like that. Why not practice it in a high stress situation when the game doesn't count?
That wasn't a selfish play by Ben. That's the play coach wanted him to execute. It was pretty obvious by the way it was all set up.
Just like he was trying to see what the Twin Duplexes could do. And what, exactly, can McLemore do in a situation like that, Michael Imperioli?People...it's preseason. Malone was just trying to see what Ben would do in a situation like that.
The 1-4 flat really is a sickness among coaches to close out games. Some guys and teams are obviously a lot better at it than others, but I don't understand why it's smart to abandon your offense just because it's the last play
I agree. If the broadcasters were true about Coach just wanting to see how his unit would reply to a game winning situation, why on earth would he put in a guy who has played 0 minutes in the entire 4th quarter? I remember Mark Jackson telling his guys who were in the game he wouldn't take them out, because he knew they could do it. (He meant on both defense and offense). The Warriors won that game at the end. This was one of those mic'd up things the NBA does.Gotta disagree. That was something Keith Smart did on a regular basis...and it doesn't help the team or Ben's confidence at all. There were at least two players on the court who should have taken that last shot...and they all know it.
Reno barring injuryRay McCallum Jr. ????
I've said it more than twice. There are a lot of "less talented" players that I'd gladly take over Carl Landry.Since you've said this twice, I have to think you're actually serious with this statement. I actually did LOL this time.

You mean on this team right? Not in general but, a healthy Carl Landry on most teams would help more than Hollins but on this team maybe you are right.I've said it more than twice. There are a lot of "less talented" players that I'd gladly take over Carl Landry.
Well, that 1-4 flat would probably have looked a lot better with Rudy running that play than Ben but I agree. Come the season, I'd rather see a Cuz play to close things out.
Why would I give a **** if Carl Landry is a better fit on some other team? If he's a better fit on the gd lakers, they're welcome to him.You mean on this team right? Not in general but, a healthy Carl Landry on most teams would help more than Hollins but on this team maybe you are right.
