What elevation are you at in Plumas County? I've played basketball plus mountain biked at various high elevations like around Colfax (3,300 ft.) for example, South Lake Tahoe (6,200 ft) and same around Moab, Utah (4,000-5,000 ft.). Of course it's not as easy after awhile at elevation but it should never be an excuse especially for someone who is a professional athlete, has done it before a high elevation and most of all is young and fit.
