Front Office Management 3.0

Welp. Forgot there was another Kings game today.

Like Pete D'Allesandro, I am only focusing on half of the important stuff (in this case, I'm focusing on the watching the games part, which is a minor miracle considering the absolute mess the team has become, rather than the writing about them part). After all, it's not about the results but rather the style you use to do things.

The Kings are currently stuck in basketball purgatory. Yes, they're bad and a mess but they are still talented enough to (barely) beat the New York Knicks of the world, thus not making them terrible enough to write about. At the same time, they're also not very interesting at the moment unless you're one of those rubberneckers who slows down on the highway to watch the cops pull mangled bodies from car crashes, which makes my job as a game thread writer difficult. (It also doesn't help that my limited creative energies are largely being devoted elsewhere at the moment, leaving me with little time or energy to put together game threads.) In other words, the Kings 3.0 suck but they don't suck enough for me to waste my energy finding new ways to describe how bad they suck.

In conclusion, I will leave you with a quote:

"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing."
-Icarus before he flew too close to the sun. Pete D'Allesandro might have also said this.

Without lebron they are small and slow. We should be able to run them out of the building.

Small? They now have Mozgov at the center (7'1') and Heywood (7'0'') as a reserve although they seldom use him. Actually Kyrie Irving is their shortest player at 6'3''. Dellavedova is 6'4'', but the rest of the active roster are 6'6'' or taller. However, they are not athletic and that may be the difference.

I would contend that the Kings have been very predictable, since shortly after DMC first got sick:

They do not beat any team that is not stinking up the court.

If the opposing team makes their open shots, the Kings lose.
If Westbrook and KD showed up that last thunder game wouldn't have won

who knows what to expect here...maybe the players will feel like playing in this one since they are on NBA TV. Other than that, keep the losses coming.

"Great players such as JJ Redick, Kyle Korver, Jamal Crawford, and Mike Miller" - Bill Horrendous

Can we kick this guy out of town with Pete please?

Marc Gasol absolutely taking over the game. The poor Suns absolutely helpless as the feasts on their small frontcourt.

The Kings front office should be taking notes.
