I feel like the players on the Warriors would do bad on other teams. A lot of their good performances come from the scheme of their team. On the Warriors, everyone buys into ball movement and team concept. I bet if we had someone like Draymond Green on our team, he'd be decent.

I'm scared to offer him anything over 6mpy because I don't think he'd be able to replicate what he does on the Warriors here.

Tune in friday to see if the Kings exciting uptempo play can allow 80 points in a half for the Phoenix Suns! OHHHH THE EXCITEMENT WOOOOO

If you find yourself suddenly in charge of a group of musicians and those musicians aren't really skilled at improvisation but you love jazz, does that mean you need to train them until they're skilled improvisers because that's the only "real" way to play music? Maybe you don't have The Miles Davis Quintet, maybe you have AC/DC. What then? Maybe you should leave well enough alone. Quite a few people seem to like what they're doing already.

Rudy Gay falls apart when he doesn't have structure. He starts trying to do too much and the result is a lot of horrible shots. DeMarcus Cousins only plays at his best when he has structure. He can do so many things with the ball out on the perimeter he starts tripping over himself trying to do all of them at once. Both of them were dismissed earlier in their careers as inefficient shot chuckers. What they actually turned out to be is a nightmare for opposing defenses to stop when they key in and isolate with their back to the basket again and again on the blocks. Nobody was stopping them because how can you double-team them both at the same time? They were both in the top 10 in scoring, top 10 in free throw attempts, and shooting around 50% from the field. Maybe the reason Malone resisted all attempts by PDA and Mullin to "open up his offense" is because he knew it wouldn't work?

Our team isn't ready to compete. We lack a lot of talent and shooters.

JT is honestly garbage when he doesn't have a matchup to guard.

JT is a career backup. One of the gaping holes in the starting lineup. He'd be ok off the bench, but as a starter he is either the worst starting PF or one of the bottom 3. Kings lack the required talent to compete against a team like the Warriors. Funny because both teams were very bad a few years back. Both teams have to operate under the same luxury cap restrictions. Yet the Warriors are stacked with talent at every position and the Kings have a good center. Gay is a decent player and Collison is a backup PG, but he has played well. Casspi has been a hard worker off the bench.

Other than that, what do the Kings have in the way of talent. McClemore looks like he might develop but other than him the Kings have no other talented players on the roster. The front office needs to draft better, trade better, and acquire more talent. The failure to acquire talent during the MaGoofs era was a lack of money issue. What is their excuse now? PDA has a team to build. What I am watching is a real team taking the Kings apart at every position except center.

Worn out talent like Deron Williams wont cut it. Garbage like Josh Smith wont cut it. Make some correct moves please !! If you are gonna build a winner it aint with Sessions and Derrick Williams !!

its way more exciting to RUN RUN RUN!!!!

"If you don't score at a consistent clip against these guys 'cause they're going to score every time." Analytic wisdom from Jerry Reynolds! Hahahahahaha

Collison is a backup PG is arguable, but I think it might be true. Not a play maker, and thrives on scoring.

Who was saying that Collison was playing well? That is 2 times he has just coughed up the ball to the W's

Also Gay is jacking up junk and assisting the W's in the blowout

Vivek talked about the Spurs a few days ago and wanting to be like them.

Well, we were far closer to SA under Malone with this lineup than we are now, which really looks like a Keith Smart coached team and the anti-SA.

I'm not just pissed about our offense, I'm more pissed about our defense. It's clear it's no longer a focus. Rotations/switches/reads have taken a real step back. It was somewhat hidden by Kobe dominating the rock and the Lakers just being terrible.

We look unprepared. We look like we haven't talked defense once since Malone got canned.

Ben is really struggling against Klay tonight.

That's one way to put it. I think his effort has been terrific when we've had a chance to set up in the half court. The problem is they keep outletting the ball quickly and attacking in the open floor when everyone is out of position and trying to cover multiple players at once.
