Disappointing game... it's not too often Collison will shoot 10% and the other guys under 30%... and Moreland scored :)

Has anyone ever played basketball-gm before? It's like taking the best player out of your team, and you get this performance

That might have worked the first 2 or 3 games, but eventually you have to adapt. Name me one winning Western team that would fall apart like this without their best player playing?

I just hope we can continue to lose games, the worst thing to happen to us is to win 35 games and get the 11th spot in the draft and lose our pick.
We're going to lose the pick, I keep telling you; you might as well accept it. The only way we don't is if D'Alessandro goes Full Admiral, and orders Malone to shut Cousins down for the year. There aren't five teams that are better than us that aren't going to make the playoffs, if Cousins plays 40+ games. It's not going to happen.

There's only so much that can be reasonably blamed on the meningitis. Detroit came in as a four-win team, playing the second night of a back-to-back. We should have been able to beat them without Cousins, Gay and Collison.

True, its worse. Because there was legitimate reason for hope
There still is Mclemore will only get better, Cousins will be back and cause of Cousins being back Collison and Gay will look like themselves. As long as they build good chemistry and we can add a back up PG and rim protector (off season) somehow someway we are still on the right path.

Look the only way this season we were ever going to make the playoffs was cause of other team's going down to injury. Talent wise we are not there, the missing 3rd big (rim protector) and no decent back up PG who can get into the lane and create would not have allowed us to make the playoffs regardless if Cousins was healthy. This year is about chemistry between DMC/Mclemore/DC and Gay.

People keep bringing up Detroit is a 4 win team, guess what we would be that to without Cousins.

Our team is terrible without Cousins no doubt. This is Rudy Toronto right now.... Coach has forced Rudy to be the #1 option. That role needs to be for Collison. I'm scared of how the team will go back to adjusting when Cousins comes back. What if Rudy still believes he's the #1 option? Or if Coach decides that running the offense through Rudy is best? oh god..

What did Ray do that was enough to distract from the loss?

From what I saw, he blew a golden opportunity to takeover the backup PG role. He was almost invisible on offense and ran a number of sets which got the wrong man the ball at the wrong time. Defense was an improvement of Sessions, slightly, but what's to celebrate? He couldn't impact a game against a 4-19 team's bench.

Probably a good time to call Brooklyn now.

Williams/Plumlee for JT/DWill/McCallum/McLemore

Then give T-Will a call.

I'd pull a Rudy card for acquiring Deron.
His best years was in Utah playing with a good post player more agile than Brook Lopez or KG(at this point).
And we have that in DMC plus we have Rudy.

Collison is turning himself into a back-up player again, which really hurts us now that DMC is down.
McLemore might be better playing behind JJ in Brooklyn.

I bet we wouldn't even be able to beat a 76ers team.

I mean if we had some kind of offensive game plan, we can use the talent we have on this team to be atleast .500 without Cousins. But I guess we are all ok with that the high pick and roll at mid court. Lol

The problem with Ray and Sessions is neither can get into the lane at will (Sessions until this regular season could but now can't) and create, that's what you need from a PG, Andre Miller at 38 years old gets into the lane better than either of those two.

Our pace is so damn slow even without Cousins. It feels slower. We need to push the ball up

How about we sub McLemore in for Sessions or Collison?

I don't think Collison will be happy on the bench. The main reason why he came to the Kings is for the starting role.

The Kings confidence appears to be imploding. Nobody on the Kings can create his own offense without Cousins. It looks like we can look forward to losing our #1 and having a sucky record to boot.

What a terrific way to set the franchise back a few years. Dwill hasn't been leading his team to many wins in an awful conference and you want to send most of our cap space, our best young asset (outside dmc of course) and our best interior defender for him.

Things are bad right now. Let's not make them worse with panic moves.

If nothing else, he came in and didn't stink up the place. He wasn't perfect but he was IMHO an improvement over Sessions. I didn't think he would change the outcome, but I think he's showing growth and an opportunity for more minutes.

Generalities not based in fact.

We tried everything tonight and nobody could hit water from the boat. Easy lay-ups, half hooks, short jumpers, long jumpers, mid-range jumpers - they all clanked dejectedly off the rim. The ONLY good thing was I didn't notice a lot of airballs.

Those missed shots are not on the coach any more than the turnovers, but I know that's contrary to how you want to look at things.
