The reality of rookie projections is that they are exactly that; projections. Unless an Anthony Davis or LeBron James walks into the league (which, there are very few Anthony Davis or LeBron James caliber of players who walk into this league) no one knows what sort of success a guy will have until we actually start seeing them play.

I'm perfectly fine holding my opinion off on Stauskas until a later date just as I did with Ben last season. Thankfully, we're in a position where we don't need Nik to contribute to win games. So keep giving him minutes and exposure to the NBA and hope we see dividends of that patience down the line.

Well, we're currently in a position where we need Nik to at least spell Ben 10 minutes a game without completely killing the momentum of the game

I am, and the Pacers are a terrible team and have been without Hibbert and West for most of the game due to foul trouble. Our bench just feels so meh but I guess it's better than blahhhhhhh like it was in the 2nd.

And yet it's still just a 9 point game....
