We don't win this without Collison's great 1v1 defense against Parker, forcing an airball then coming down, slicing through the middle and putting it off the glass. Hell of a sequence to get this game.
Now that we have a player who is capable of "containing" a top guard like Parker, it opens up a lot of positive possibilities. We haven't had that since Bobby Jackson

Unfortunately, I couldn't catch this one, but sounds like it was a great win. Anyone wanna give a really brief summary?
We didn't trigger the 20+ lead curse in the 1st. Back and forth game til the very end. Boogie took over in 4th, Rudy forced a couple shots and threw us off, Collison with a clutch driving lay-up and later 1/2 free-throws. Finally, good defense (I think?) to contest a Ginobli 3-point that would have sent the game to Overtime (it was an air-ball). We win by 3!!

GREAT win. my first game of the season, in person (Section 106) and it went perfectly as far as the result goes!!
Watching Cousins be a huge reason we pulled it out toward the end, is one of the main reasons im so ecstatic.

It feels good knowing that we can count on our Franchise player to be pretty darn clutch when it
matters. He honestly made Duncan look like a child at the end lol

Kings down a few points late in the 2nd quarter before Cousins picks up a touch foul followed by a tech. The kings go on a 18-2 run that bridges the late 2nd quarter into the 2nd half. Extremely tight, solid defense throughout the game. 9 turnovers. 0-12 from 3. Didn't really notice Tony Parker at all as he couldn't get to the basket.

Once again, why not play Raymac? What exactly has Sessions done to warrant playing time?

Another note: I don't know if it was because we were playing the Spurs or if this is going to be a thing now, but Evans didn't play. We needed some length in the second unit so I kind of like that decision. Evans should be used as a utility player. Hoping Moreland eventually makes it into the second unit.

Casspi was an awesome signing. If he were replaced by Dwill in that second unit, we would be so screwed every game.

Stauskas needs to hit his shots.

Rudy Gay: stop with the tunnel vision please. You're not good at it and yes, Cousins is better than you so give him the ball

Sessions actually played well this game. He didn't force anything and ran the offense completely well. Ray will get his chance soon.

Evans not playing is due to the Spur's lack of big men and different match ups. Usually Thompson picks up 2 quick fouls in the 1st quarter, but that wasn't the case today. Thompson wasn't in foul trouble which meant no need for Reggie..especially on Duncan. I see Moreland as a T-Rob type of player.. However, I would like to see a lot if improvements by Moreland. In the NBA, I don't think he's nearly as effective as he was in SL.. I think he should really focus on tightening up his defensive game. Grab more rebounds and block more shots, then focus on offense.

Casspi was amazing tonight!
Stauskas, eh, not so much. You expect him to make his shots.. he was regarded as THE BEST shooter of the draft, but right now, I think McDermott is. I wish we could run the offense through Nik a little bit more. It wouldn't be a terrible idea, but it would get him involved.

I don't trust the team depending on Gay for crunch time.. I'd much rather see us play through Cousins and Collison.. I like Gay's turn around Js, but his trouble is that he's always trying to attack the rim and making something out of nothing.

Stauskas might have swagger, but he's under a lot of pressure: he knows, there's not many players, he can defend effectively, so offensive contribution is all he can offer at the moment. Nik doesn't get to touch the ball a lot, and this leaves shooting as the only means of affecting the game - he takes semi-open shots and rushes them. Stauskas just needs time...

Tyreke scares me. So does Asik. Along with Ryan Anderson.. a lot of things bout the Pelicans scare me. However, to be fair, the Wolves are terrible.. especially with Rubio out.
The only thing scary about Asik is his lack of finishing ability and inability to catch/handle the ball.

Casspi just did a very good interview. Focused, passionate, honest and on point, huge heart. Absolutely locked in this season.

Great addition for this change of culture
Ok. It's time to start giving some credit to PDA. Yes for the Casspi move, but for others as well. Evans, Collison, Casspi, even Hollins... these guys are huge. Hell, Hollins' defense won us the game against the Grizzlies. That's on PDA.

But seriously the Casspi move is looking absolutely smashing right now.

Well, he's certainly in the right system to improve.
