Fox had a decent game, but was unable to elevate his teammates to a road win over the surprisingly decent Suns. That 1.5:1 a:to ratio was far from impressive.

Fox with his first 30-point game of the season: started the game 1-for-9, then made 10 of his last 16.
Fox's shooting came back, after abandoning him for a game, but the Spurs lost anyway. They traded 2s for 3s with the Timberwolves the entire second half, and got buried.
Interesting shooting night for Fox so far: he's 3-for-4 from outside the arc, and 1-for-5 inside.
Peculiar game for Fox: had an efficient 31 points, but also had 7 turnovers, including two in the last 90 seconds that helped Orlando get back in the game. Nonetheless, he scored San Antonio's last 10 points for the second straight game, and got them the road win. Spurs now 9-4 with Fox in the lineup, 7-2 without Wembanyama, and Fox has led them in scoring in 7 of their last 9 games.
With all that being said, I gotta keep it a buck... I haven't seen anything in the last 9 games that would assuage my concerns, if I were a Spurs fan. I mean, we already knew that Fox had this in him: some of us even believed that Fox could be the best player on a playoff team (Contender? Maybe not. Playoff team? Absolutely!). The issue remains the same: what happens when Wemby comes back? If anything, Fox taking over down the stretch of the last few games makes me feel like he's going to be less inclined to look for Wembanyama with the game on the line.

Fox has quietly worked himself into a semi-respectable 38 percent shooting from three this season. If that holds up, it'll be a career high.

Hard to disagree with the man. It does not reflect well upon this organization that everybody worth their salt who leaves seems to rejoice in their exit, as if it's a genuine liberation. We'd better hope Scott Perry has skill in the rehab business.
All of that is true but, in his specific case, the other side has Wembanyama on it, so it was kind of a no-brainer... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Welp, it looks like Fox broke out of his slump, just in time to wreck the flimsy chance I had of winning my matchup.
Yeah, Fox looked great in the fourth, but he definitely looked like he was just out there getting cardio the first three quarters. If he played even half the game like he did the fourth, the Spurs win handily.
Man, Fox was the drizzling ****s today. Finally woke up with three minutes left in the game, but it was too little, too late: got them the lead with Wembanyama (minutes restriction hard out) and Castle (six fouls) on the bench, but couldn't help them keep it.

I wouldn't be surprised if Recee pushed him to sign with Paul. She is very political and Fox is very much a go with the flow guy. Somehow a number of Fox's former friends are now well uh, former friends. Malik wanted to go at her during his homecoming. And there's a twitter army of Fox fans she cultivated who say some of the worst things about Domas (and his wife).

Most definitely an excuse. His half effort and sudden low motor and stupid decisions at the end of games is part of why Brown got canned to begin with, so, pardon me and the Kings for not understanding this newfound devotion to coach Brown and this " it's either him coaching or I'm out" thing. His play just didn't sync up with that idea at all.

Remember the fuss when Rich Paul and Vivek were at the game against the Lakers? This was when Mike Brown was very much still the coach. Reportedly, Rich Paul met with Monte and Wilcox before the game to discuss Fox's future with the Kings.
I think the things were set in motion when Fox didn't sign the Max extension offered in the summer. Fox wanted to hold out and see if he can qualify for the Super Max and when that possibility disappeared he wanted out. He was gone no matter what.
