Congratulations!

There was no doubt whatsoever about who wanted it more and who was clearly the better team in Dallas tonight.

Enjoy the ride, fellow NBA fans, for as long as it lasts!

Now, go out and party!

:D

Who was the guy who told me that the Mavs would win as soon as Dirk got it going? They didn't even need it.

That series is going to put some taint on TMac and Yao. This is TMac's 2nd elimination after holding a 2-gm lead and, I think, it's only the 3rd time a team has won the first two on the road only to lose the series. Yao was his typical OVERrated unaggressive self. Either that, or he can't get it going with McGrady dominating the ball. Say what you will about Kobe vs TMac, but even Kobe found a way to share enough with his center so that they could both dominate playoff games.

i guess all that ball sharing wasnt enough to keep em together ;)

Hello? This isn't about the Lakers...

I checked. I didn't even use all the letters in the word L-A-K-E-R-S in my initial post, so even if you mix them all up you aren't going to come up with a L.word reference.

;)

Thanks VF:D! I really hope that the difficulty of this mettle-testing 1st round series will help to fortify my beloved Mavs against the certain tribulations of trials to come (first that of Steve Cash and his Suns, and then possibly- hopefully- further foes beyond).

Not a big Mavs fan but I gotta give them credit, back from an 0-2 deficit to a 40 point blowout.

Although Phoenix may prove a tougher road.

for some reason i think the mavs are gonna have no problem with PHX.......

Quite an accomplishment to beat a team of the Rockets' caliber 4 out of 5 games with Dirk struggling offensively and missing shots he normally makes. Throughout the series, Dirk missed an unbelievable amount of wide-open shots he normally drains without even thinking about it. Only in game 3 did he have what could be considered a decent to good game from the field.

Anyway, if there's any cure for shooting woes left in the playoffs, it resides in Phoenix.

that game was great tonight! Houston played well all series - it ended up that we didn't need Dirk on top of his game to win it out. I'm still waiting on his finest playoff performance this postseason...

Phoenix - wow it doesn't get any harder in my opinion. Going to be tough to pull the series out BUT we do have momentum on our side. Who knows maybe the team will gel, they've got experience knowing they can come back from a deficit...

You just never know, hopefuly the Mavs win it.

I doubt it would put much taint on them. They did their job, both busted A$$ out there. It was their team that didn't show up while the Mavs team did, that was pretty much the whole game.

About Kobe Vs TMAC, lets see if the Lakers will ever get back to the Playoff with Kobe as the only star on the team.

I'm rooting for Dallas - Detroit finals! The Mavs are like the Kings, except willing to take chances.

:) Thanks!

Marion does a GREAT job on Dirk. I'm curious to see how he gets going against Marion...

that was embarassing from the rockettes. oh that was jsut awful.

heres to hoping the suns/mavs go 7 games, wear each other out so much that the spurs crush the winners ( i don't think either team has what it takes to beat the spurs in the WCF)
