Evans isn't a good one on one player? I thought that was his only skill. Cousins is very good one on one as well. We do have the tools. We're not using them properly.

The assist have skyrocketed and turnovers have decreased. Of course there is better offense.
Uh huh ... Well ok better offense, worst defense - what's the point? The point of my post was that we still lack a proper system - just look at the Jazz game. The Jazz announcers themselves were talking about how we have no system. It's clear and obvious to anyone - our offense is still based on 1 on 1 play. Did you see any great ball movement against the Jazz? I saw guys going 1 on 1 and Cousins having a monster game, again, doing everything himself. There is no system where you know we're going to get a 3 point shooter open in the corner or you know you're going to have a cutter come or anything like that.

I do not see these open shots created off our offense that you speak of. At least, none that are very much different from what we got with Tyreke at the point. All I can say is thank goodness for Cousins. I also enjoy watching IT. To me, it's not about the Thomas VS Evans thing. It's about winning and developing our guys so that we can win long-term. Please show me examples of these numerous open shots that our offense is intentionally creating (getting a 25% 3 point shooter an open 3 pointer doesn't count - that's more of the defense not giving a damn about the shooter than it is the offense creating a good shot). I do agree that ball movement is better in terms of guys not holding on to the ball as long (although MT and IT do pound the ball quite a bit, but IT gets away with it because he moves while dribbling. Evans tends to pound the ball but stay in the same spot), but it hasn't resulted in giving us an efficient, well-drawn up offense. And our defense is suffering. So it's a wash if you ask me. My main concern now is developing guys for the future.

sdballer,
Based on the Kings new ability to be in all of their games. You may remember losing by 25 points, but most people have short memories. The Kings used to win by 4, now they have wins by 10-15 points. They used to hear the 24 second buzzer a lot, and now they are a breaking team. The gross level flaws in the team have been mostly fixed IMO. Now they are much more competitive, but still lose too many close games. They are young and going up against full grown men with coaches that have decades of experience. Their record is still disappointing, but their intensity, desire, and ability to play as a team has improved a lot. Turnovers are down. Assists are up. Average points scored is way up.
