that's achievable, although Portland is yound and athletic, usually those types give us major problems.

Not too athletic anymore... Darius Miles is out w/ knee surgery, I think that Ratliff guy is injured, and I don't know randolph's status but he had micro fracture surgery last season anyways.

Reality is, dear KP, that as miserable as we are, I'm quite sure Geoff Petrie isn't very happy either. You know he didn't sit down a while back and try and figure out a way to be at the bottom of the Pacific Division in December...

The good thing is that it's still early enough in the season for things to get better. We're just going to have to live through this time. Think good thoughts...

;)
I agree its only december they look much better then they did in the start of the season. if the bench can give us any kind of consistency we could be a great team. I wish house was still here hes playing great hes instant offense off the bench. somthing we need more then anything

my bad, forgot that Ratliff and Telfair are both out, too. The Russian kid isnt bad, neither is Jack, but we SHOULD beat them.

actually though shareef gets all up in the grill of the star PFs, he HANDLED Duncan last night. IMO He can handle dirk because dirk's a jumpshooter and prolly brand(maybe not).
Shareef will have problems with Dirk.

Reef has been getting caught up in "switchitis" this year. This is leaving his man open for long range darts.

For the most part this isn't an issue ... but when you play Rasheed, Walker, Dirk and that ilk Reef might run into problems.

I still think the team is such a poor defensive team and so lacking o nthat end, we should run almost exclusively as a zone.

1-3-1 zone is one of the best one but hardly ever played in NBA (main purpose is trapping people)....biby -peja, brad, ra-bonzi.....
When I coached, I loved using a 1-3-1 trap, but not with all of my teams. You have to have quick athletic players who can quickly recover when the ball is reversed, otherwise they'll kill you on the weak side post. The Kings don't have enough team speed to run the trap.

Edit: it didn't take more than a few hours... Houstons win tonight put them past us in the standings, we are now officially the second worse team in the Western conference, only Portland below us... We are right were we want to be !
So am I a pessimist, or a realist?
