Just got home a short while ago. I was able to attend my first Fandemonium ever, along with my friend, MontysBiggestFan, courtesy of our very own (and very nice) Ryle.
After the evening when kids were wandering around in the new jersey, I thought they were ugly (the jerseys, not the little darlings). However, from up above in Sec 216, as soon as the players begun coming out onto the court, the only thing...I repeat, only thing I could see were the Lakers. From a distance they look entirely too yellow.
About my evening:
1. Very pleasant....got to see the unveiling of a very cool sculpture done as a tribute to the 6thman. Jerry Reynolds said that everyone, "from sea to shining sea" knows that the Sacramento fan is the best 6thman in the world.
2. Got some refreshments served by Jamaal Sampson...was disappointed that you could not get a special price for the night. Dang, that food is expensive!
3. Although parking was free tonight, they have changed the signs to reflect the new $10 parking price.
4. It was Langhi that won the 3 pt shooting contest...not Garcia. Cisco did win a shoot off to determine who would go to the finals against Langhi.
5. Peja had everyone beat in the skills contest until Hart came up. He was ahead of Peja and would have won, if "The Big Nasty" had not playfully jumped out and grabbed the ball away. He was hilarious. So, Peja won that contest.
6. Kevin kicked some booty in the slam dunk competition. His first dunk was a 58 (out of a possible 60). He was ahead by several pts with only one more competitor yet to go. So, Spec K took his second try and got a 59. That kid is flat out athletic.
7. They were all out at half court taking shots to see who could be the 1st to hit a 1/2 court shot. It was only fitting that Bonzi won that considering his first attempt was 1 handed...and backwards. He was actually closer doing that than some of the other guys were on their attempt.
8. Was disappointed that I could not watch any of the guys actually play. Would like to have seen what they looked like together. Will have to wait for comcast.
All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening. Oh, and I bought a Brad Miller hat (beautiful design), a Kings polo shirt, and a Monarchs Championship polo shirt...none of which I could afford.
THANKS AGAIN, RYLE!!!!
