Am I the only one who finds this completely messed up? He just joined twitter and now he is posting messages like this:

George Maloof@George_Maloof

Glad to be connecting to so many kings fans and supporters.. Exciting developments are in the works!

anyway I'm taking this as an opportunity to troll him and let him know how much I disapprove. Maybe others on twitter could do the same?

EDIT: It's a fake, bummer.

Just continuously rip every poor personnel and coaching decision they've made, and ask how the hell that equates to a great product?

I don't know if any of you follow Marcos Breton's twitter, but over the weekend he said George started following him and he had to block him. I hope George at least had a chance to read a few of Marcos' "colorful" tweets about him first

Man, I hope this is real. His latest tweet: "Go green! Recycling is good for the planet and your pockets." Translation-- Staying in PBP not only preserves the indian artifacts at the railyards site, but it is good for the planet to keep reusing the building.

Definitely fake now after reading the last few tweets. I'm thinking whoever set up the account has been drinking tonight-- it actually seemed somewhat authentic before this evening.

of course its fake. what the hell is george maloof gonna need twitter for right now? sure, if time's are good and things are rolling, its a wonderful idea to be connected to your consumer base. but, with circumstances as strained as they are, why would george maloof willingly subject himself to the internet bile (much stronger than any other kind of bile, for the record) of thousands of fans who despise every fiber of his being?

Although I've gotta say I'm enjoying these. Too bad the dude didn't wait until he had more than 65 followers before going nuclear tonight.

umm... because he's a proven idiot? Same reason he held that ridiculous press conference last week.

its one thing to make yourself available to the media. the public will insult you afterward, but it occurs behind your back. its another thing entirely to make yourself personally available to the mudslinging of every john and jane doe with access to a computer screen. the maloofs may be idiots, but their egos outweigh their idiocy. they'll verbally spar with kevin johnson and other sacramento leaders, but they're not gonna do so with every kings' fan who has an opinion. gavin's got just enough conciliatory sense to call season ticket holders so that he might beg them to renew, but george doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who wants to engage the fury of the little people...

The fake George Maloof could not possibly be a bigger phony than the purportedly "real" George Maloof. No contest.

Well, I figure this is a safe place to get out some of my anger. ;)

You were incredible tonight, my friend.
Thank you. I think all of us did a pretty darn good job and I loved little Saraya. I'm no great speaker, but I was totally taken aback tonight by the fact that I was on the verge of tears through my whole little speech!

I could not believe I got that emotional. On the other hand, I was so so excited about the rail yards development with a new arena at its heart and bitterly disappointed by the Maloofs actions. Hopefully the city proceeds with a new downtown arena and the Maloofs can decide to join in under the agreed-to terms, sell the team, or go broke at PBP (and sell the team).
