Can you believe!!! 7 of 9 recent Kings are starting for their respective teams!!

Bobby Jackson off the bench for the Griz is ave 6.7 ppg in only 15.7 mpg but is shooting 43% from 3pt range.

Matt Barnes , starting for the Knicks! yes starting. is averaging 7pts and 6 boards in 21 mpg

Mo Evans is averaging 8.3 pts and 3 reb in 18 mpg off the bench for Detroit

Cuttino is 18.3 pts and 7.3 reb starting for the Clippers and getting 37.7 mpg

Darius Songalia is starting in Chicago and ave. 6.5 pts and 3 reb in 16.5 mpg

CWebb starting in Philly 23.5 ppg, 9.8 reb, 91% FT!!!! in 41 mpg

Doug Christie starting in Dallas, 2.8 ppg, 3 reb, 50% FT in 29 mpg

Gerald Wallace starting in Charlotte 21 ppg !!!!!, 7 reb, 71% FT in 37 mpg (OK, Gerald wasn't from last year but we all liked him)

Wow! That's good to hear! Glad to see that Barnes & Songalia are starting... Webb seems to be doing well too, although I don't know his numbers (never am sure where to go to get all those statistics for averages). His last game was 25 points, 9 boards, on like 68% shooting. (Note: AI had 29 points on like 38% shooting!) How is Doug Christie doing? I haven't been following him at all.

Out of those 4 the only one I really don't care for is Cat. For some reason I think he wasn't trying too hard.

I mean, I can see how Cat gets a bad rep around here, but I don't think his acquisition was all bad. The Miller/Webber/Peja/Cat/Bibby lineup was especially formidable. Cat seemed to click with Webb, but when Webb was traded the wheels fell off, both with Cat's fit and the entire team. Sure, I think Bonzi fits better with the defense and rebounding he brings, but I think Cat would have worked out well had the Webb trade not gone down.

Evans is doing quite well with Detroit. I still love 'em. Playing like he was for us, just with more PT, and an improved (it was solid/decent before) jump-shot.

Cat was huge for Clippers vs. Wolves on Saturday. Still like him. Clippers are 3-0, and Maggette hasn't even played yet. I'm actually starting to like them some. They have no bench though, especially w/ swingmen. I'd still take Bonzi over Cat though. As an aside, can you believe the Clippers tried to get BOTH SAR/Bonzi for their BENCH? I was like "you guys are crazy...". They were frustrated that we got them both afterwards. :)

Barnes has a nice starting role with the Knicks, yup. He did a great job to make the team, and is still doing what he did to make it. Has improved his offensive game nicely. But if Lynch is brought in, Matt will likely be waived (:)?).

G-Wall doing well isn't a real surprise, though how two of his games went so far are, putting up huge numbers. He'll have an even better season than last.

If he does, and starts moving up into star-like numbers, that's going to be the "one that got away" that could end up hurting. Young guy who does all the things we need to have done, and may be blossoming. Would be pretty nifty to have him coming off the bench behind Bonzi and Peja.

Cat is averaging 7 boards?????? LOL

Well, Maggette isn't back yet, with 6'6" 193 pounder guard Quintin Ross starting. Since they have no back-up swingmen on their medicore bench, he is the closest to one.

B-Jax is fitting in nicely for the Grizz, who I follow anyways. He's coming off the bench for Stoudamire, and as an energy guy. He's hit a 2 or 3 big threes, most notably.

edit: Not like, what he was for us though, yet.

i can't believe bjax was left out of this...

*runs away crying*

Actually Bobby has struggled his first few games, so maybe he was left off on purpose as a guy not doing well at the moment.

Gerald and Chrsi WEbber are doing the best IMO. I wish them well but not TOO well so I don't fell bad abiut Kings letting them go!!

:D

Sorry folks, added BJax and Hedo, merely monday brain blank as they were two of my favs.

I knew you wouldn't leave Bobby J out for long because you knew I'd come and hurt you. ;)

At least I saw two good games last night... Grizz killed Seattle (who just looked flat most of the game), and B-Jax had his best game as a Grizzly :). Was a good game if you enjoy the Grizzlies.

Warriors/Bucks was a really good game, Warriors played so well. I love the Bucks arena...

After watching Bobby and then our leaderless bench tonight I think I'm going to hurl. I'm even starting th think Bobby J made Bibby better by being a constant threat to take some minutes... oh well prob over-analyzing.

I think Bobby's passion and energy helped this team even when he was on the bench. Watching the lack of passion/interest/desire I've seen from our team this season makes me miss the passion that many of our ex Kings brought to this team.

Anybody still thinks Petrie is a genius? It is just painful to think that a star like Webber was given away for three worthless no-talents!

No-talents? Come on... they're trying to get into things with the team. Plus it's still early. Corliss/Skinner I am not really concerned about, but KT...

Personally, I don't see why people have such high regard for Kenny Thomas. For the most part, he is a solid player but nothing special.
