ESPN Rumor: Brad/Salmons to Chicago?

It's still crap for crap.. I would rather do nothing unless it's Beno/Miller/Salmons for a couple of enders. Hell, I would even take Nocioni if it meant getting rid of both Beno and Salmons.

I'm beginning to think we'd be better off to pull a Suns and just say screw it, talk to you at the draft/summer, these offers are PATHETIC.

knowing Natt he will start Gooden and move Thompson to the end of the bench playing Donte Greene garbage minutes. Someone please shoot me now.

Hmm.. what if this were part of a bigger play for Amare:

Drew Gooden, Mikki Moore, Jason Thompson to Phoenix
Brad Miller, John Salmons to Chicago
Amare, Nocioni to Sacramento

The big obstacle to an Amare deal for Sac was getting rid of Brad's contract. You essentially do that by clearing Miller for Gooden, Nocioni and Salmons basically duplicate each other, and this still leaves the Kings with BJax's and Shelden's expiring.

Far-feteched, though. And Nocioni? Ugh.

I think if the Kings were willing to deal THompson for Amare, a deal would have happened by now.

I did a little digging .. found this ..

The Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves have been exchanging trade proposals that include a possible three-way deal with the Suns that would send Stoudemire to the Bulls, a Western Conference executive said Tuesday night.

So far, nothing that the Bulls and Wolves have brainstormed has brought the Suns closer to moving Stoudemire. Nevertheless, one proposed deal would send Bulls forward Tyrus Thomas to Phoenix, along with the expiring contracts of Chicago’s Drew Gooden and Minnesota’s Jason Collins. Minnesota would receive the player it covets – Chicago guard Kirk Hinrich – and Bulls guard Thabo Sefolosha.

That three-way scenario remains improbable, but there are several possibilities between Chicago and Minnesota that are alive. The Bulls want expiring contracts and draft picks to dump Hinrich and forward Andres Nocioni. Chicago has shopped them separately to several teams, but sources say Minnesota has no interest in Nocioni.

However, sources say the Wolves and Bulls are discussing Hinrich and Sefolosha for Collins and Brian Cardinal. The Wolves are intrigued with Hinrich’s ability to play the point and off-guard and see him as a good complement to Randy Foye. Collins and Cardinal have shorter-term contracts that bring Chicago payroll relief.

The Bulls have also had discussions with the Los Angeles Clippers regarding center Chris Kaman, one Western Conference executive said.

hopefully this means the bulls will stop tricking our front office..

Honestly I think the whole Amare thing is over. It seems the suns are commited to their run and gun offense once again and are willing to to hold on to him at least for the rest of this season.

Seriously, if we could add Beno and Chicago adds Hinrich and Gorden instead of Noc, I would consider it.

But Salmons,Miller for Gooden,Noc, NO!

Amare is NOT the answer. Not here as SH-C points out in his blog post this morning.

Why all the negativity over the potential deal? Salmons and Miller have helped his win 11 games. They are both cancers. Get rid of them!!!

At least Noccini plays hard.

And Drew Gooden, well....he's better than Mikki Moore!

You don't generally rebuild by taking on mediocre 29 year old small forwards who have 4 years left on their deals.

To think we might soon have Beno and Nocioni signed up for $12 million soon. Oy.

Yeah, because Drew freakin' Gooden and Andreas "the ridiculous contract" Nocioni are going to turn this team around.

We already have a rookie who is 10x better than Moore - let him start!

This is a joke.

One of the many thing I dont understand ..

If Salmons is so popular like Amick says, and 12 teams have called about him, then why are we settling for this? It accomplishes nothing ..

Gooden still blocks our young bigs and Noochh blocks donte and Garcia ..

This makes no sense in any possible way. I dare anyone to come up with a way in which this even remotely helps the future of this team. Anyone.

Makes little to no sense. We save about $3M in future salary total, and spread it out a bit. But if we can't get more than junk for Miller/Salmons, why deal them? If this goes down, there had better be a pick or two involved.

Still, Salmons is "popular" and this is the best we can do? Ugh.
