I know people may not feel this is the absolute best we could have gotten, but it's not a perfect world. We did fine here. I think it's become apparent that the team is better off without Martin now, and that's not a knock on Kevin as I've always been a fan.
We got a young tough big in Landry who really is great off the bench. He'll provide energy and hustle; he'll be a fan favourite pretty soon.
I know everybody is sleeping on Dorsey but I hope he gets a chance. This kid is a monster defensively. It's just a shame that he is so small. He's about 6'8'' which is far too small to play signigicant minutes at C, but he can come in for 10-15 mins a game and rebound the ball. He's a very good athlete - strong, good vertical, quick. I loved him coming out of Memphis. If he gets the minutes he will produce in the rebounding department as well as chipping in with a block or two. His development may be hindered by Brockman, though. Brock is tougher but Dorsey is a much better athlete. He was probably just a throw in but I hope he gets a chance. His potential is Ben Wallace. Will he reach it? Doubtful. But possible.
This cap room could be very useful in the summer. I won't hold my breath for Bosh, who I think would be a perfect fit with 'Reke and co, but I'm not expecting a few MLE veteran signings. I will give Geoff the benefit of the doubt until the summer, but he has to make better signings than he has in the past. I don't really trust him in FA.
Good trade. Team should get better and the hustle and excitement should return. Also in much better shape financially.
