ESPN Insider has Kings interested in Pryzbilla, lots of teams going after Bonzi

I don't see Tyson Chandler becoming much better than what he is now, a 7 ppg 9 rpg and 1.3 bpg average center. A good rebounder, an average shotblocker and a liability on offense. Doesn't exactly fill all of the Kings' holes in the Front court. So why trade K-mart for a guy that doesn't fill all of the Kings' needs? If we get Tyson Chandler, we're still going to have to make a few more moves to have a solid front court.

Actually that would be a GREAT reboudner (led the league in per 48 last year) a good shotbocker, and a liability on offense.

Which BTW PERFECTLY fits all of our needs in the frontcourt. In fact you somehow pull that off wihtout using Brad or SAR (quite unlikely) and he might even be enough to preserve the softie duo if that's really what you want to do for some reason. Chandler was the key interior defneder on the team with the best FG% defense in the league last year. All him? No. But clearly somebody who can be an important part of a damn good defensive squad.

In any case, the point before the nutty Kevin jocking began again was simply that a) Kevin is never your lead offer (presumably) -- you always offer spare pieces first, not talented kids; but b) given Cisco's built for the bench game and a possible return for Bonzi, maybe Kevin's name being raised by the other team isn't such an automatric hang up the phone moment in some of the higher level deals we might be pondering. He is better than Cisco, at least offensively. But depending on how you look at things his value and Cisco's to us in a bench role may not be that far apart, and there may not be enough minutes for both. And while it would be nice to keep both, in a deal where one or the other is a key component its not necessarily the no-brainer its been made out to be.

I don't think it's necessarily "nutty Kevin jocking" just to have faith in one of our young players. Yes, a lot of us like Kevin and really hope he stays with the team. People like to have favorite players, they like to be able to root for those players, they want to see them grow and reach their potential on their favorite team. There is nothing wrong with that, IMHO, and I don't think it makes our comments of the "nutty Kevin jocking" variety.

A Miller/SAR/Artest/Wells/Bibby/Chandler/Garcia/Douby team is a clear contender. Can't say the same for what we have now. Even if we do blow the whole MLE on Songaila ;)
