Um, no, its quite clear they are trying to do anything but. They drafted a rookie to take his spot, and now are threatening to do something much worse.

I think that it is quite clear that none of us have a clue to what they are trying to do.

The answer is Big Mac, basically whichever one get's less in the way of him developing so probably Thornton. Had we not take Big Mac in the draft I would be all for Monta (since Reke left) he's a good player but these are not the circumstances we want him under imo.

That too. :p

But nonetheless you don't draft pure SGs in the lottery and try to sign 35+min a night combo guards if you think you have a 30+min SG still on the roster.

Some of you guys are hilarious with your MT hate. Funny thing is case could be made that MT is a better player than both Ellis and Evans. I say ride with Thornton and it's becoming apparent that's exactly what they're doing.

Better than Monta? Sure, maybe.

Better than Reke? Ok. Go ahead and make your case.

No lol. can't deviate from the choices. Seriously it seems clear we want him right? but we can't go over cap obviously. I don't think they wan't to lose Salmons with the question mark at SF. They must move Thornton to get Ellis. I think that is whats going on right now.

Well, if I absolutely had to choose between MT and Monta.... I'd choose MT.

For 2 reasons:

a) The other choice is Monta. :p
b) Loyalty to the player who has played hard for your team during bad times. (Reke, you will be missed.)

Easily Monta.

They are both selfish shot jackers, but Monta is much more talented.

Not to say I actually want either of those guys on the Kings next year.

That too. :p

Couple things:

1) Just because we do not understand what the FO is doing does not mean that they don't understand what they are doing. They may have a clear plan of what they would like to do. The plan may be solid, but different than the ideas popularly presented on this board.

2) I am not sure to what SG you are referring. If it is BMC, my thought continues to be that while we are all excited about him we need to remember that he is a 20 year old rookie and will probably look like one most of the season. Perhaps you are referring to MT. I am not a fan of his as I am not a fan of pure chuckers in general. In short, while we have a plethora of SG's on the roster, I am not real comfortable with any of them at the moment.

Of interest, OKC just signed and traded Kevin to Minny for a $7mil TPE. You would think they are going to want to replace that third scorer role, and if we are just determined to dump Thornton's contract Thornton replacing Kevin I that role could make some sense.

I dunno... Jeremy Lamb is looking good in Summer League. Didn't Kevin sign for less than Thornton currently makes?
