It's all laughs until someone Kings Fans actually want doesn't want to sign with Sacramento because they think the beam is lame.

I hear you, and I believe that you believe that... I just don't think that you're right. I definitely think that there are a non-zero number of players that would be classified as "serious ball players" according to @Double-K's Personal Record Book™ (shout out to Stugotz) who have disdain for the beam. It's possible that you still wouldn't want those players anyway, though.

It is very likely that the vast majority of the NBA players would respond to the mantra, "give them the money and they will come" (to Sacramento). Consider DeRosan in this category.

However, there are other players who have enough money to last for generations that want a winning legacy and would rather be on a potential winning team. Think Fox in this scenario.

Finally, a few players will eschew the money and legacy but refuse to play in a toxic organization that has the potential to bring them down and interfere with their professional goals. Siakam might be a player with this issue.

Into this cauldron there are the agents (Klutch) pushing players this way and that depending on how it affects their own business model.

I have difficulty believing that this would apply to Fox, but not DeRozan. Or are we going to continue to pretend that the Kings had had a winning record for two seasons in a row, and appeared to be a team on the rise when DeRozan signed?

As annoying and at times cowardly they are I will miss the likes of Draymond/Brooks and Pet Bev (gone) when they leave there is so few good agitators left it's almost an extinct species (Reggie Evans probs all time fav). The NBA has to many heroes/good guys we need more villains to spice it up. The Rockets are the only true villain team atm and I respect it. Westbrook is also still going strong getting into it with everyone.

That's fine as long as they aren't actively trying to hurt players (like Draymond repeatedly does, including things like the Sabonis chest-stomp). At that point he needs to get tossed and suffer long-term suspensions and ultimately get banned for his repeated actions that put others at risk.

Yeah agree I'm for annoying trolley stuff but not trying to ruin ones career
