Wow, what a day. Now we can just care about basketball, and what happens on the court. No more uncertainty, no more cheap coaches, no more minimum payrolls, no more Maloofs. We can really start hoping for a successful team again. It feels so strange after all those years, that's really a great feeling!

My Heartfelt Thanks to Mike and all the crew at crowndowntown.org
Mike you and all kings fans at crowndowntown were key in showing the City, the Mayor, the investors how much all of the kingsfans
really cared about our team, and the Mayors vision of a new arena.
All the time and work to show up for all the council meetings really helped keep things going on track
And thanks to my son-in-law Troy Bedal and My wife Pamm who helped the cause and showed up when I couldnt during my 80 hour weeks during tax season
I love this town and this team!!!!

But it doesn't make much difference.
NBA is trying to say that they are denying moving the Kings from Sac, not that there was anything wrong with Hansen/Ballmer bid. It's just semantics but the bottom line is the same, the team will not move.

The plan was to wait until the vote was confirmed but I actually bought them last week because I knew the Kings weren't going anywhere. Nothing left now but to make it all official. Have I mentioned yet that I love all of you? Even the ones that get on my nerves sometimes. We're all Kings fans and we've all come out the other side of this together. That building is gonna be rocking next year! I already can't wait.

Of course not. Nor will the lawsuits or any other cheap petty revenge tactics happen.
If these guys really want a team, they'll play the game by the NBA's rules. And I think expansion is likely around the same time the TV contract comes due. That way they don't "split" an existing deal, they add value to the next one.

I checked this site at least 3 times and found no breaking news. Last Tim e at 1:58. At 3:25 my son called me from work to congratulate me. I came on this site again and about 6 moe pages were here. I found I missed the first report by about 2 minutes.
