Down to the wire and other news, rumors, etc.

On the one hand, this means that by the time I FINALLY get to Sacramento to go to a game, the new arena will be complete. While that's very exciting, I kind of wished I'd had a chance to visit the old Arco, where all the magic and history happened.
But either way, I'm just so thrilled. Excited for all the people of Sacramento who deserve this so much. New arena, new downtown area, more jobs, more tourism, and most importantly, the hope of more W's! With the Maloofs gone we will actually be run like a professional organisation. That brings so much hope to the city and the fans all over the world.
And a giant thanks to Mike for his heroic and unwavering efforts, as well as everyone else who attented meetings and helped keep the team here. And about KJ, that man is an inspiration. Without him the team would have had no chance of staying. He needs to have his jersey retired in the new arena, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that a statue would be in order. This city's history, it's future generations, us, we owe so much to him. It's incredible what the will of one man can do.

One other positive, Kingsfans will be here for years to come and we now have ample time to continue rooting for the team, bickering and getting on each other's nerves. But seriously, it's great this community will be here for years to come and we should have a kingsfans celebration at some point, opening day in the new arena at the least.
The purple has to stay, cause I've already got my purple Supras ready for opening night at Arco next season. 
The plan was to wait until the vote was confirmed but I actually bought them last week because I knew the Kings weren't going anywhere. Nothing left now but to make it all official. Have I mentioned yet that I love all of you? Even the ones that get on my nerves sometimes. We're all Kings fans and we've all come out the other side of this together. That building is gonna be rocking next year! I already can't wait.

I awakened this morning to only sports news, Tim Tebow waived by the NY Jets. By midday Tebow was second story to Jason Collins outing himself and then the Kings breaking news. Not sure how they all stack up at this moment back in New York City where all the news that fits is filtered in its biased bombastic way - but I don't really give a hoot!
