I found it very likable to listen while Doug and Jerry joked and laughed. The jokes often caught the Redhead unaware which made it even funnier:) Means a lot to folks that have been around awhile. Very nice to hear the laughter:)

Lets wait for other types of games and see how it plays out.

I always liked the idea of 3 guys doing commentary imo the Dallas Mavericks trio is the best in the L out of all the teams. I think Doug brings in perfect chemistry with Grant/Jerry you got a intelligent/cool/smooth guy with a good understand to go along with a guy from the 1800's (in terms of style) in Jerry and a consistent robotic Grant Napear.

I thought he did wonderful as a trio based on one game it really worked for me. Was this a one game thing or well he be doing it consistently?

When Christie was doing the broadcast, I felt less inclined to reach for my mute button but none the less I had to do it because Jerry was going at it too much for my liking

I don't think I can think of a better replacement (eventually) for Mr. Kings himself Jerry Reynolds.
I can.

I haven't been fortunate enough to hear Christie's color, as he didn't appear to be there for the opener and, for some reason, my League Pass hasn't made the Kings' broadcast available for the other two games; some kind of funky blackout, or something. I have every confidence that Christie is aces on commentary, but my grievance is more that Christie's arrival likely means that the Kings intend to pass over Kayte Christensen for the eventual role of Reynolds' replacement.

I see Doug as more of a guy that's a new member of the team, like an addition, rather than an heir to Jerry's role, thus leaving that spot open to someone else down the line (hopefully Kayte).

Basketball isn't a sport that really benefits from having two color commentators. I know that, sometimes they do it on TNT or ESPN, and ABC has that three-man booth during the Finals, but it's rarely any good.
