They want to trade Iggy for Gay. MT isn't close to getting a deal done.
I agree that it would take more than just Thornton for Iguodala. I wonder if we could possibly work a 3 way trade to get him and our shotblocker.

After this trade, the Sixers become very deep and versatile. This would be their lineup:
Holiday/Thomas
Thornton
Turner/N Young
Thompson/T Young
Hawes/Vucevic
The Bucks have their guard positions locked up with Jennings and Ellis and they have 5 bigs who need minutes (Ilyasova, Dalembert, Gooden, Udoh, Sanders). By giving Udoh up for a couple of picks they can address their SF spot which is their weak spot at the moment.
The Kings will have a lineup that looks like this:
Evans/Fredette
Williams/Salmons/Garcia
Iguodala/Outlaw/Honeycutt
Robinson/Udoh/Hayes
Cousins/Whiteside
The defense would obviously be outstanding with Evans, Williams, and Iguodala on the perimeter. Salmons and Outlaw will be the primary substitutes on the perimeter. Both are good defenders as well. Cousins and Robinson are more than capable of holding down their defenders while Udoh and Whiteside will provide the shotblocking. This team will also be very good on the glass. Evans, Williams, and Iguodala are all above average rebounders for their position. Cousins and Robinson are exceptional rebounders and will solidify our dominance on the boards. The playmaking would be terrific. We would have three players who can average 5 assists per game in our starting lineup. Cousins is also a great passer which will help with our ball movement too. We would be a hard team to match up with based on our size, length, and strength. This lineup would also consist of 3 very athletic players who can play above the rim (Williams, Iguodala, and Robinson). It will give Evans some good fastbreak and alley oop options. The shooting would be the biggest maybe the only weakness. If Iguodala can hit the three like he did last season and Outlaw can return to his career percentage (34%), Evans will have some valuable shooters to dish out to at SF. Fredette can obviously spread the floor when he is in. Salmons isn't the best catch and shoot shooter, but hopefully he will recognize that is what we need out of him and will work harder at that aspect of his game. Lastly, if Evans and Williams can improve their jumpers, I think we will be alright. We literally would be above average in every aspect and below average in one (shooting).
Next offseason, D. Harris becomes an unrestricted free agent. I think he could be a good fit next to Evans. Good 3pt shooter, defender, and playmaker. He doesn't have a chuckers mentality either. Having a 3 guard rotation of Harris, Evans, and Williams could be a very dynamic rotation with Fredette coming in for spot minutes. He would definitely help us with our shooting which would have been our biggest weakness and it gives us four viable playmakers. The Kings would possbily have to amnesty Salmons to sign Harris depending on the market price for him, but Salmons would only have one more guaranteed year on his contract which could be a cheap amnesty if a team decides to place a bid on him.
