my vote is trade ron b4 we go n trade bibby, as much i as love both of them n wish they could find a way to play together successfully i would rather see ron go than bibby. They both have pretty similar trade value but i think teams will be more likely to bite on ron than bibby.
Ron definitely needs to go but he doesn't have higher value than Bibby. Mike has shown he can be a legit #2 option on a contender. Ron is a basket case that we will be lucky to get a late first rounder for.
I think Cleveland, Miami, LAC, and Orlando would love Bibby.
I'm not interested in dealing with Orlando, they can't give us another 1st round draft pick.
Kings deal:
Ron Artest
Miami Heat deal:
Dorell Wright
Antoine Walker
1st round pick
Miami's off-season line-up:
C: Shaq, Zo, Doleac
PF: Haslem, Simien
SF: Artest, Kapono
SG: Wade, Jones
PG: J. Williams
Sacramento's line-up:
C: Brad MIller, Justin Williams
PF: Kenny Thomas, Shareef, Walker
SF: Garcia, Wright
SG: Martin, Salmons, Douby
PG: Bibby, Price
Walker actually has team options on the last two years of his deal, essentially turning him into an expiring deal. We basically get Wright and the 20th pick for Ron...Walker is just an expiring filler to make the deal work.
Think the heat would bite?

I want both of them to go, Bibby because he is a shot 1st PG making way too much $, and Ron because he is cancer to the team, but he does bring a awesome player if he has his head in the game and he is also underpaid for what he brings on the court.
I'd trade Ron to Miami for a package of good young players like Wright, also I would love to see JWill back here in Sacto, other players to make it work. You really cannot be too picky here, just move Ron and get it over with already. Riley should be able to handle him, or else Shaq and Alonzo will physically keep him under control.![]()
Bibby, move him for something. The Cavs really wanted him bad. At his point I wouldn't mind Gooden, Pollard, even Ira Neuble (the guy should lit us up, but then again we reinvent nobodies in the NBA so he might not be that special after all).![]()
Let's get this team in rebuild mode, blow this clown up already!!!!!
The main problem with Jason is his knees. I honestly don't think he's going to be playing that much longer.

As far as trading Ron to Miami goes, I rather like the proposed trade but I don't know if Miami would bite... I think it's been mentioned elsewhere, but Pat Riley is one of the very few coaches I can think of who might actually be able to control Artest.

Scary isn't it?!Ack -- its reached the point where we are seriously discussing trade ideas that end up with antoine Walker on the roster.![]()
Why wouldn't they bite? Because of the "Artest" factor. And it's not just confined to off the court. He's about the highest maintenance player in the sport today...there are very few coaches in the league who could probably get him to buy into their program without reservations or objections. His other issues may not concern basketball but they're as much a part of him as his defensive skills. You cannot take one without getting the other.
I said I didn't know if Miami would bite. I do know they'd have to think long and hard about it before committing to such an undertaking.
At some point, the excess baggage Ron carries with him could easily make him just too unstable to consider. Do I think that time is now? I honestly don't know...but I think it's rapidly approaching.
EDIT: Having said all that, I do agree that if he's going to go anywhere a team with Pat Riley and Shaq O'Neal on it might be the best solution all the way around.
