Slow down.He is kinda reminding me of Wallace with a jumpshot
Slow down.
Slow down.
I stand by my statement. To be fair, though, you should know that that has more to do with my opinion of Wallace than it does my opinion of Greene. That was my opinion on him when he was in collage [sic]![]()
Bit too early for this thread I think and I've been one of the few really rooting for Donte to work out I think.. Kid has some work to do, but so far so good for these two games - lets hope he can sustain it
Nope, I think now is the exact right time. I've started these threads over the years to salute the one Kings player who brought us out of our seats, made us cheer our fool heads off, etc.
I did that on my couch tonight, wishing the whole time I could have been in Arco.
On this night for a couple of hours, Donte Greene showed the stuff dreams are made of. I think the timing is perfect for the thread.

So i'm guessing your opinion on Donte has changed a bit?![]()
Yep.
If he continues to show the hustle and effort he's shown the past couple of games, I'll be a very happy Kings fan. A lot of credit has to go to Coach Westphal. He's gotten through to Donte - and the rest of the team - in a way I haven't seen in a long time.
i loved the and 1 then the chest pounding !haha reminded me of a taller less crazy artest.
I knew you had it in you Donte!, like others said he just needed minutes! I love how he has been trying to get to the rim. He can cause alot of mis match problems if we bring him off the bench as a big.
i'lll quote the late great movie grandmas boy.
"yeaaaaaaaaaa donte"!

The best thing about donte is hes big enough to play some power forward, and thats exactly what we need. As godly as kenny thomas is its going to be nice to see Donte get some time out there in his majestys place.
This will sound strange, but what I loved was that after his alley opp, he showed some espression, but immediately starting running back on defense. He didn't showboat. He looked professional. And from last year, thats progress. Westphal and his coaching staff seem to be doing a good job of getting everyone on the same page. Its only two games, but I'm encouraged, and very happy for Donte..
I didn't come around as much as Donte came around. If he hadn't worked hard and shown Westphal he was serious, he wouldn't be playing and my opinion of him would be the same.
I'm always willing to change my mind but it only happens when situations change.
And just for the record? I don't see the need to dump on Kenny, who has done absolutely NOTHING wrong this season, in order to life Donte up. They're teammates and you certainly wouldn't see one of them doing that to the other.
KT is on his last year. If he can help the team this year, especially while we're short-handed, as an extra body and six fouls off the bench, so be it. He's hustled and he's done whatever they've asked him. I think people really need to let go of whatever residual anger they've got towards him.
lol woahh ease up, theres a fine line between taking a dump on a player and just joking around.
ive been a supporter of k9 this year. hes had some great games for us.
