This post is from December and i still have the same question.my question is when will they stop calling fouls every time his hair brushes up against an opponent and start calling fouls every time he’s elbowed in the face

Yea and it is even 30 minThis is so awesome
You'd probably have to reach to put a 30 minute highlight package together of Luke Walton's entire time here.

It would be 30 minutes of tape watching Luke Walton watch 30 minutes of tape.

I mean, 30 minutes of tape watching Luke Walton TALK about watching 30 minutes of tape in post-game pressers.
I would think Fox should be cracking this list soon with how he’s been performing the last few weeks. Maybe take SGAs spot since he’s been sitting out games.Sabonis is now 8th on the MVP ladder, more here: https://www.nba.com/news/kia-mvp-ladder-march-3-2023-edition

He probably has one of the highest floors for a player not considered a superstarThe floor for a bad Sabonis game is literally 10, 8 and 3. The guy is just insanely good and consistent.

Great observation. His game is basically bulletproof. Even when he might have a floor game like that - you know that 100% of the time he's setting great screens, making the right passes, not stopping the ball, etc. On his worst nights he's not taking the ship down with him and will generally find ways to get other guys going. That's not the case with certain guard or wing type superstars - when they have a bad night, it can throw a wrench into the whole offense. The floor for a bad Sabonis game is literally 10, 8 and 3. I love Sabonis but I’m going to provide a little balance here since kb is gone.
The Sabonis/Jokic archetype of skilled offensive big who has defensive weaknesses has not yet proven to be successful in the playoffs. It will be interesting as both Sabonis and Jokic will be playing.
we shall see what happens…..
You can make this same argument about Joel Embiid too, who is one of the best defensive players in the NBA, but has done absolutely nothing in the playoffs. With significantly better supporting casts and not having to get through the Warriors to make the finals. Giannis broke through, but he also has the benefit of sharing the court with one of the best defensive guards (Jrue Holiday) and best defensive bigs (Brook Lopez) next to him on the floor. So while he's an incredible defensive player, he certainly had help to get there.
I think we're going to have to start adjusting our priors a bit on what can win in the NBA with the Warriors finally starting to slow down a bit. They've just had a stranglehold on the NBA for the last 8 years that really no one was able to solve.
we shall see….. lots of smart NBA people give the Kings no chance in the play-offs. A lot of that belief is based on lack of rim protection. I don’t want it to be true but your head is in the sand if you deny it’s there.

Our goal this year at best, is probably WCF. Being realistic, if we can make it out of the first round, that'd be a huge win. I don't think Jokic's lack of success has anything to do with Domas' future success. I think it'll be up to Monte McNair to try and bring personnel in to makeup for Sabonis' short comings. Sabonis is our worst defender(lol another user got upset at me saying this) and it's going to be a tough cover. He can't defend the perimeter and he doesn't protect the rim. The funniest thing is that people keep saying someone like Myles Turner would be the perfect fit with Domas... but you can ask any Pacer fan, the pairing never worked. It was like Fox-Haliburton...I love Sabonis but I’m going to provide a little balance here since kb is gone.
