Does Anyone Have a Video Ipod?

Wondering if anyone had onebecause I am luring to get one. IF people can help me, I was wondering what were the pros and cons for the Ipod.

I have never had an Ipod before so I was wondering what accesories I should get and everything. Costs for the cheaper one one, like the one that holds less songs Is the one I want IF I get one. Does it have Am/fm radio. because I always like to listen to KHTK.

Are there any places that have it cheaper? Is it worth it? I have no idea what Itunes is so if peopel can help me there and tell me how to download songs and if it is easy or not. Thanks.

So if anyone can help me, IT Would be GREATLY appreciated!

I have a regular ipod, and no, it does not have a radio. I don't know much abot the video ipod except I don't really understand the need for it. Listening to music is something you can do "on the go"...wouldn't you have to stop what you're doing to watch a tiny little video?? Better to watch it on your tv..it's not like they're not playing 24/7, right?? To each his own, I guess.

As far as itunes...it's program you download to transfer music to your ipod. Its not too difficult, cuz if I can do it, it must not be too hard to figure out!;)
I love my ipod...only the songs that you like and want to listen to..no junk.

hoopsie, I would love to see yours sometime and to be shown how it downloads, etc. No rush! I am too broke for it to be very high on my "want" list.

I already got a portable CD player with Am/FM radio, so I will only get the Ipod Video if it has AM/FM radio. So it is really important since I like to listen to KHTK.

I didn't know they came with radios. I thought they were just for playing downloaded music....or something. I am so behind the times, I know. :o

For the video its ok. I mean if you want to see a mini clip of a show it is pretty cool. On the go you can watch just like having a DVD player in the car. i dont know, that is a point if I should get it or not. Is the video really useful........

No radio.

I like it better becasue of the smaller size, larger GB capacity, larger screen and I do use the video function. There's some good stuff for purchase through itunes, plus I am in the process of discovering how to convert things I have on my computer (wmv files) to play on my ipod.

What is good about hte video function? And are you 100% sure bout the radio? Or you just might not know?

No, I have one and unless I am mssing something there is no radio function.

The video function is just an alternative to listening to music. I have a few music videos on there, some that I think are really good pieces of art. itunes has some old tv shows on there that I like to watch in addition to shows that I don't have time to watch when they come on TV (for example Commander in Chief), but for 1.99 I can just buy them and watch them on my ipod. Also through the wonders of the internet I have been able to download clips of my favorite shows, save them to my computer and shortly I will be able to convert them to watch on my ipod as well. The video function for me, is really just something to pass the time in addition to just listening to music.

Am I correct in thinking that an ipod is made for and by Apple Computer? And, is the MP3 the equivalent that is used for downloading from a PC?

Nope, radio availability does not come with the Video Ipod nor any other. However, there are transmitter that you can buy that you simply connect to the ipod. The catch is that I only seen a FM transmitter...no AM that I know of. The easy way to save some money on the Ipod is to utilize the student discount. It's a nice way to save around $30ish. I'm not too keen of the video ipod, I don't like watching videos on such a small screen. And I don't plan on putting 3,000 songs on a ipod (which is the amount the video ipod can hold). In my opinion, if I need to put that many songs in one ipod, I can as easily rotate them on a cheaper ipod. I own a ipod mini and it works fine with me.

The 30GB, which I have, actually holds 7,500 songs....and then something like 20k+ pictures and over 70 hrs of video. The 60GB holds 15K songs. Now that is just ridiculous. I currently have a little less than 3k on my Ipod, and with that people think I'm crazy.

I just got one and I love the fact I can now listen to my mp3s in the car easily.

As far as the video feature, I'm just getting into it and I'm surprised how much I enjoy it. i really like the nba video podcast, a more interactive and pretty way to see the box scores of the night. There are podcasts on lots of things. I'm not into music videos, so the things I'm looking at are special interest podcasts. You can also convert dvds, listen to audiobooks, and put ebooks and texts on there. Hopefully there will be more video podcasts in the future. Maybe someone can start up a Kings Basketball one.

the nba video podcast is just a short nightly boxscore/highlight of the night's action. I haven't listened to the nba audio podcast yet, but you can check both of them out here http://www.nba.com/broadband/podcasts.html I heard that they are going to sell games the next night for $4. hm, yeah, I just found them forsale at http://video.google.com/nba.html . That seems kinda expsensive to me though...

You can get itunes on your computer without an ipod (just go download it free) and then "subscribe" to various podcasts by clicking the "advanced" tab at the top, then "subscribe to podcast" and then paste in the url of the podcast. Or they have a browsing area too.
