Do We Need More or Different Assistant Coaches

The way I look at it, Westphal is going to need all the help he can get. Both these picks are pretty high maintenance. At this point, it probably is more important to have coaches who can help them mature as people than having coaches simply developing basketball skills. If they mature as individuals, then the basketball skills will come. If they don't, then the basketball skills won't come. So would you think that we need different (or more) assistants than what we already have?

Gates is leaving for the Hornets. There's this Webber guy who would be great with our bigs...

Yeah, it's time to really start bringing Webber into our team in some capacity.

Westphal has already said he does not foresee replacing Gates. He feels he has enough coaches on the staff. There will be a re-shuffling of duties.


What I really think it's time for is to bring these back.
