Don't know if this has been posted anywhere but i came across this on kings.com........http://www.nba.com/kings/video/2010/06/30/DMCtwitterQsmov-1362488/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt2
definitely, he also stated that his weakness is defense and that he needs to improve on it, i'm glad he doesn't think that he's a superstar..........................yetAlso I love his answer to what he brings to Sac - toughness. =D
ok first how tall is Andrew Nicholson, dude needs a contract. I watched the 4 point play commercial with JT and Donte and it appears as though Donte is a at least a 1/2 inch taller than JT.
If I remember correctly JT is 6' 10" and Donte is 6' 11". Donte is just built more like a 3, and has the athleticism for it.
All those questions and not ONE fan asked him if he could be any Star Trek character, who would he be??![]()
I'm pretty sure JT has been listed at 6'11" since he came into the league, while the listing for donte have grown and grown. And from what I have seen I actually believe them. He was 6'9", then 6'11", and if you told me that this season he was 6'11.5" or even 7'0" I wouldn't call you a liar. You have to remember how young he is sometimes, adn while its not particualrly normal to stil be growing in your early 20s, NBA guys are all pituitary freaks anyways. Jason himself grew I think 3 inches during his college years, and given that Donte is basically the same age as a guy entering his senior year of college right now, him having a similar late growth spurt would nto be unprecedented. And it just ups his monster potential that much further. You are beginning to talk about a KG or Dirk sized freak athlete at some point.
Just about every report I read on Thompson said he was 6'4" his freshman year of college and grew to 6'11" by his senior year. Highly unusual for someone to grow that much after age 18, but it does happen from time to time. So Its not out of the question that Donte has grown two or three inches since joining the Kings. I still think he has the potential to be something special. its all up to him.
I think he is misunderstood and a lot of his attitude problems has been blown out of proportions. He is a lot like Shaq to me.
Very true. UK fans have been defending their Cuz for over a year now and now it will be your turn. I feel the fear Cuz puts into those playing against him makes them cry that he has a bad attitude. I guess they feel that sounds better than, "He scares me."
Everything I see this from this kid suggests a playful and positive energy, not a malcontent or psycho. When he gets compared to guys like Derrick Coleman, I don't remember Syracuse fans, coaches and teammates rushing out to defend him against the labels, insisting that he was loved by all. Did little girls cry when Coleman left college?![]()
