As far as Boogie's accolades go, or lack thereof, maybe the guy shouldn't have had his head up his ass his first 3.5 years in this league.
There's that too.
Yeah, because none of us ever did things in our youth we regret. Geez...

So you can whine about it or you can accept that it happened, and move on. It's not like we can change the fact that DMC got sick any more than we could change the fact that Webber collapsed in Dallas on that fateful day and was never the same afterwards.
Did it kill momentum? We don't know yet. We know it stalled momentum but who's to say what will happen when DMC returns to the court.
So, are you saying we can infer from that, that Cousins won't ever injure his knee, or are you specifying that, just in the here and now, he's not injured?
...Its not whining. Theres a thought process and realisation.
Yeah, because none of us ever did things in our youth we regret. Geez...
I just don't like people acting like everything happens to Boogie, and he played no role in not making an all star team his first four seasons.
It's not reality.
He brought a lot of this on himself.

Exactly and well said. Cousins created a lot of his own problems and dug his own hole. He's done a great job (starting last year) in starting to dig his reputation out of the hole but make no mistake he's the guy that dug the hole and created the perceptions about him.
It's one of the odd things about society now in that people no longer want to give credit to people that "do it right" from the beginning. As long as you do it right at some point, people want to instantly forget about your past but that's not how life works in any aspect. Reputations good or bad are built over time and it takes time to change them. A guy like Peyton Manning didn't build his stellar reputation as a teammate, professional, hard worker, and great human being in a matter of one season. It took a long body of work for him to earn that kind of praise and respect. As such DeMarcus Cousins isn't going to get the same treatment because he's behaved like an adult for one season.
I wish I could "Like" this 100 times. It should upset you too. It all ties together. Our profile, our chance at national games, fans, money, free agents, everything.
I wish I could "Like" this 100 times.
Most KF's are just not listening to the national perception.
It was clear as day during the TNT broadcast tonight, and I only caught the 2nd half -
"The Kings are fighting to get above .500"
"They're struggling without Demarcus"
"After a 5 and 1 start, they've fallen off the playoff pace and are now on the outside looking in."
The narrative has already changed back again, and Kings fans (and personnel that haven't proven ANYTHING to the league) aren't getting it.
I suspect that, by the time Cousins gets back, there'll be nothing left but a smoking crater where hope used to be.I get it. What good does that do the team. As a mere fan, I obviously need someone's direction. What should I do? I suspect the narrative will change when Cousins gets back to full health.

That's possible. A lot of things can happen. I will live with whatever comes up. I'm getting old. I've been taken by ambulance to the hospital three times this year. I have a surgical procedure scheduled for late December. The point for ME is that there are far worse things in this world than what might, and I mean MIGHT, happen with the Kings.
I am going to enjoy what I can. I am going to stay from the people who seem to be wallowing in gloom and doom. I will ignore those who I can and for mods, I'll stay away as best I can. I have enjoyed sharing messages with you for a long time but will cut it off when it creates more misery than happiness. I want to enjoy the Kings. I don't enjoy most of this forum. When the time comes that this forum brings more misery than happiness, I will leave for awhile. Then you can have this misery with one less to cause dissonance. You don't have to get it, grok, it or have a minor understanding of my position. I will do what is best for me.
No month is that important to me and certainly no game is that important.
Boogie might be back next week unless someone knows more than I kmow, Maybe two weeks.

For the love of god, we all get it.I wish I could "Like" this 100 times.

Why? Are the kings moving?I suspect that, by the time Cousins gets back, there'll be nothing left but a smoking crater where hope used to be.
I don't think you understand why I asked the question. You can exist without 'existing'; the Kings can continue to exist in Sacramento indeterminately, without ever again existing as a relevant team in the NBA. I am asking you what your value for 'existence' is, such that we should continue to have hope? For as long as the Kings are in Sacramento
