David Lee

G-League
We are going to have cap space and he fits a major need....a rebounder who can take it inside, clean up on the offensive glass, and shoot the midrange shot. A perfect 2nd option to Tyreke and allows Kevin to become the 3rd option.

Lee can start at the 4 or 5 and brings the lunchpail everyday. He would probably be the type of guy Sacramento would instantly love. Sure he will command 16-17 mil a year, but 20 ppg, 11.5 boards would be welcomed big time.

uhh 16 million is too much for David Lee. that's superstar money

I wanted us to grab Lee last offseason. I wanted us to look at a sign and trade because at that time he wasnt in the Knicks long term future. That was when he was worth around 8 mil. Hes gotten better since last year, but now that he'll probly get 10-15 somewhere ... thats just too much for me.

16-17 mill!? NOT in this economy!

its looking like soon superstars are going to make around 60mil for max contracts. I think he would then be worth closer to 30mil/4years

seconded. i don't think he'd command 16 mil in a regular year. the only way i see this happening is if every major star stays put in the current team and leaves everyone else high and dry, resulting in a massive bidding war for the scraps.

i like the idea. it occurred to me during the game that lee would be a nice addition to our team, but i don't think he's good enough to end the rebuild immediately, so i would shy away from him if it cost too much
