david lee trade

Artest did not beat his wife.

I don't think Williams will ever be as good as Lee. Williams is more athletic and maybe a better defender. Lee has a better offensive game, is a better rebounder and a better energy guy. I don't want Lee because we're a bad rebounding team, I want Lee because he'll be a good future piece for us. People need to stop looking at our needs for now, they're irrelevant if we are trying to rebuild, unless we want to stay mediocre.

I am still hesitating on whether or not a guy like Lee can help the Kings at PF. He is a great rebounder/put back type guy. When he goes off for 15-20 rebounds in a game I see NY beating the opponent in rebounding by 20+. The only thing that scares me is his ability to be consistant.

But he is a guy I probally would take a chance on if he was put in front of me. Think of him and Williams backing him up at PF. Our PF position could produce 30 rebounds in a night. That's crazy.

100% agree with you though about the here and now. We shouldn't get anythign to solve immediate problems because it's irrelivant. We are going to be a bad team this year regardless. We are not playing for this year, we are playing for 2 years down the road. Rebuilding takes time.

Why can't we just all get along dime dropper? I feel so attacked like being crossed examined on every point lol. Regardless, I agree Williams looks to be the better defender because he can block well. He is probably the Kings' best rebounder too. Lee hustles faster than he looks and he's good at easy buckets such as all dunk field goals in the allstar game, being fed by Chris Paul. His .1 sec buzzer beater was nice. But in the end, I see both them as garbage collectors like Varejao, which is a good thing; reminds me of Tyrus Thomas along with Big Ben. I'm just hoping the Kings can get a little more bang for their buck because Artest and Bibby looks to their best cards for rebuilding.

Lee at PF and Williams at C doesn't sound half bad either. Let's hope Isiah still has as much faith in Balkman as he did a year ago.

Why does Lee even help us anyway? He's not a good defender or offensive player. He's just a dunker and rebounder. Doesn't compliment Hawes or Williams at all.

He actually isn't a bad defender. Nothing to make up for the short comings of a Center that can't defend though. Tehre would be a lot of putbacks though on the offensive glass. That's always a good thing.

well, considering the kings do not have anyone on the roster who can do those things well--outside of the unproven justin williams--i'd say david lee could help us a lot. he's a smart player, and has excellent timing around the basket, which makes him a rebounding machine on both ends of the court. he's not super athletic, so he's not much of a shotblocker and he's no stud when it comes to interior defense, but he's competent, and hustles. he'd likely start for the kings if he came here this offseason, but down the road, he'd be an excellent sixth man. and, to answer the inevitable question: yes, i would be entirely comfortable trading ron artest for a quality sixth man like david lee, and possibly a soon-to-expire contract like malik rose's. the front office has to think big picture, and the kings really only have two pieces of the puzzle in kevin martin and spencer hawes. david lee would be another great, young piece, and you have to approach a rebuild in pieces, otherwise its far too daunting.

lol what you want swing men....is your name geoff petrie????

kenny thomas can play sf.

we need pfs and centers buddy.....do you know the kings?? or are you looking to have a guard play the 1,2,3,4,5??????????

kenny playing sf, wow the world is coming to an end, i'd rather see kenny come off the bench, hey maybe he can be like our antonio mCdyess:D

Realistically, the Knicks won't give up players that would be of value to the Kings and I don't think they would give up Lee. He's probably part of the Knick's future. Other than that, I hope the Kings do not trade with the Knicks!

I'm not attacking you, man! I have no problem with your opinion, I was just pointing out mine :)

I actually think Lee is better than Varejao, and I also think Varejao is being overrated. He's an energy guy, sure, but take away all that big 'ole hair of his and he won't look so bouncy ;)

And mac, yes, Williams does need to bulk up more to fulfill his defensive upside. Right now he's getting backed down too easily, he can still add some muscle while keeping his athleticism.
