I can understand why the Pacers would do this since Jrue is the exact sort of player Carlisle loves playing instead of his young guys that need minutes to develop during a rebuild (seriously though, Jrue would help cover for Tyrese being a terrible man defender) and the Blazers getting two firsts and a prospect and Lowry (who they could potentially move for even more assets at the deadline) wouldn't be a terrible outcome for them but wouldn't the Heat be better served just cutting out the middleman and trading for Jrue instead of Buddy?

All he's got to do is be healthy when it matters if they build off of what they did last season. If they are going out to try and win 70 then that's a mistake in the first place. I'm sure they'll be planning how to move forward.

He literally injured himself last season in warm ups and turned his ankle. If everything works out well for them they are a powerhouse no doubt, but if he’s hurt… much less scary.
