I just saw this...SAVAGE!!!
This guy inherited a team that lost in the Western Conference Finals in his first season as GM and then lost in the NBA Finals in his third season and he thought he could do better. That Luka Doncic for AD trade may be forever known as the ultimate "hold my beer" moment.

This whole thing is just hilarious in the saddest way possible. Harrison's tenure began so strongly, with some shrewd acquisitions that put the Mavericks on the path to the NBA Finals... and then the guy sinks his own ship with an all-timer of an awful trade. Though it's insane to me that their owner signed off on the Luka trade to begin with, it's some kind of positive that their ownership group seems to grasp that Cooper Flagg falling into their laps was dumb luck, and they need a better GM to build a sustainable winner around him.
Must have been nice to wake up to a random twitter or reddit thread saying you're getting fired at 10am.

It's the fallout of the move. I think there may be more beyond that, as Nico is also rumored to be the one who drove the wedge between the Adelsons and Cuban. Not that I ever really thought Cuban's deal when selling the team to still "run" the team made any sense, but Cuban has pretty much lit the org up over it, as have all of the legends from Cuban's day. Adelsons look terrible, when Dumont is getting flipped off by children it probably sent them over the edge.

They have Flagg. Even if they don’t trade Davis and he walks for nothing they already have a better future than us. lol
