[DAL/PHX] With my hands behind my back...

I want to see Avery after the game if Mavs don't comeback to win. Mavs have a good oppurtunity to get within a 1/2 game of Spurs if they win.

Not worried at all if I'm a Mavs fan. Obviously Avery didn't care for the #1 seed, having Stackhouse and Diop sit and starting DJ BENGA OF ALL PEOPLE.

so,
- no Stackhouse, Diop
- getting Devin Harris and Adrian Griffin back into the groove of things
- PHX shoots 99% from 3 point land
- down 22 points
.......still had a chance to win.

I see a lot of positives. I'm glad they finally stood up for themselves too - all year long Avery's been preaching "hard fouls...hard fouls...hard fouls" and they finally did that tonight. Should make for a fun series if we see them again in the playoffs...

avery is scared of the kings he rather play the clippers/memphis

I don't think Avery's scared of anybody. I think losing the last of 3 games to the Golden State Warriors pretty much mathematically eliminates you from gaining the #1 seed when you're already down a game...

It reads as though the Mavs only got back in the game because 4 of the Suns starters were on the bench. Had the Suns been playing to humiliate, it could have been really, really, ugly.

With his team locked into the No. 2 playoff spot in the conference, Suns coach Mike D'Antoni sat Marion, Steve Nash, Bell and Thomas through the first 6:27 of the final quarter, when the Mavericks rallied to cut a 13-point deficit to 100-94 on Nowitzki's drive with 5:33 to play.

All four came back, and with the Suns leading 104-98, Diaw blocked Jason Terry's layup try, Bell made a 3-pointer, then Thomas sank another and it was 110-98 with 2:54 left. Dallas never got it to single digits again.

D'Antoni said he would have preferred sitting all four down for the entire quarter.

Sure Miles you're right, that's when they did make that run. But one could make the claim the reason why the Suns even jumped out to that big of a lead was we started DJ Benga and kept two key players from playing tonight. Well and they shot ridiculously from 3 point land. (which was impressive)

It was a meaningless game - our chances of gaining the #1 seed died when we lost to the Warriors on the 1st night of the back to back.
