CWEBB's BACK

I just observed that Webber has been averaging 23-12.33-5.66 for the last 3 games. He is also going to the basket really well. Pretty well on defence as well.
Great going Webber!!!!!!!

Great going Webber!!!!!!!

Webber has been playing well the whole season except 3 games.

He's looking ALRIGHT. Not the Webber of old, that's for sure. He's putting up good stats, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he's playing great. His shot selection at times is still so stupid, I really have to stop and wonder how a smart player like him can take garbage like that. He's still not getting boards in traffic the way he used to, but I don't really fault him for that...he's rebounding 3x better than anybody on the team. I really like what he's done the last two games, particularly on defence...he's been a nuisance, and has come up big down the stretch.

I said this before, and I'll say it again, Chris Webber will be MVP this year.

No, he will not but If he can stay healthy and play as well as he does at the moment - I will take that

With a back to back coming up, and having had to play 37minutes tongiht, I think Webb has more than enough reasons to have a bad game that have nothing to do with this thread.

Are you challenging the power of an all-mighty KF.com thread! Great, thanks Brick, now he'll surely have a bad game!

...;) :p

We've tried being logical for several years, and what has it gotten us?

Superstition? I'm all for it. Lucky charms? Oh yeah. Rituals? You name 'em!!!

At this point, it certainly can't hurt!!!

Remids of a story about the Physicist Nils Bhor. Aparnetly he had a horse shoe over the door to his office, and one of his coligues remarked, "Why do you have a hose shoe you don't belive in luck." To which Bhor replied, "yes but I understand that they bring luck even to people who do not belive in it." I teach critical thinking, ama memeber of the Internaitonal Sociciety of Skeptis and I STILL wear a lucky jersy every game day. As long as the Kings win I don't wash it. Once they loose I wash it imediatly.

I think webber is playing great, but I still close my eyes everytime he goes to the floor and pray he doesn't get up limping. not a knock on the guy, guess I still haven't gotten over that Dallas series a few years back.

If you're going to worry that much about Webber, then DON'T - I repeat, DON'T - read the details of Pedja's broken leg when he was playing for PAOK. You'll never be able to watch him make a spin move again...ever.

Sounds like a case of Peja bias or you've been drinking Webber flavored "Hate-orade".

I think Chris Webber has played above expectation. Does not get boards in traffic because at this point mentally I think he feels he can't any more. With that said, his soft hands make up for a lot of that. As far as shot selection, it is not the best, but it is far better than in previous years. His overall court awareness is the best on the team, and with that said has attempted and completed some of the most beautiful passes I have seen in a long time.

NEGATIVES
Can not jump as well
still slow of foot
free throw shooting is slightly inconsistant
Defense is improving but not yet high quality

I'm liking his attitude as well:

Not completely satisfied with the victory, Chris Webber said it could have been smoother.

"When you start up against a team like this at home ... you should step on them and kick them when they're down," Webber said. "They've had a coaching change. Players hurt. You try to compound all those things."

I don't think Stojakovic was particularly negative or hateful towards Webber in his comments in this instance. I do agree that Chris has being playing beyond expectations at this point though.

great, here come the nightmares

The Kings made Stojakovic the 14th pick in 1996, a move that looked foolish when he couldn't break his PAOK deal, then snapped his right leg on a spin move the following winter. He believes the injury was caused by a stress fracture that PAOK officials said was a strained muscle. They masked it with painkillers so strong Peja didn't realize his leg was broken until he looked down and saw it flopping sideways below his knee. Not surprisingly, he took the Kings up on their offer to rehab in Sacramento, where Petrie spent two months driving him to the gym for therapy every morning.

I wasn't going to share the gruesome details again, SacKings384. He saw his leg flopping sideways below his knee... now here come MY nightmares.

WEBBER SUCKS!!!!!!

trade him for a bag of chips!!!

;) :p

webber has been the kings MVP in this young season, NO doubt about it. he's not going to be league MVP unless duncan or KG get hurt, or lebron or kobe for thatmatter ( not to mention he has to stay healthy) but if he helps the kings win the pacific, i'll be pleased as punch. i just want a healthy webber in the postseason, i hope thats not too much to ask :D

GO WEBBER!!! YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!

it's interesting how when he doesn't do well, people bash him. when he does well, people love him.
