This is as good a place to put this note as any. Cuz was yelling saying he wanted backup from the coach. At the least I hope Karl heard that. It's a valid complaint especially when one single tech would have calmed down Boogie. Whose fault is it I suppose can become an issue. With all these meetings that were supposed to go on weekly, it had to be mentioned. BTW, anyone believe these weekly meetings between Karl, Rondo, and Boogie actually occurred? 'Course not.

They should have at least bi-weekly meetings. Monthly. Yes, Boogie can be a big baby but there are solutions. This is one of them.

And maybe DeMarcus directed that frustration at George Karl but it could have been anyone. Here's where I think he has a good point... We see the questionable calls too on the replay. Like that Clipper game where Cole Aldrich and Wesley Johnson got tangled up pursuing the same rebound and took each other to the floor. The refs called a foul on Seth Curry on that play simply for standing in the general vicinity and DeMarcus Cousins lost his head. It was an inexcusably horrible call. This happens to other teams and the whole sideline freaks out, the refs confer with each other, and then reverse the call. It happens to us and Cousins flips out, maybe gets a tech maybe doesn't, and we get a lot of shrugs on our bench. Maybe Grant goes on a mini "shut up and play" tirade while eyeing DeMarcus from the press box.

It's not just the coach that should have DeMarcus' back -- the whole organization looks like they're ready to roll over and die. He's got such a reputation for overreacting to calls at this point that any time he blows up it's seen as Cousins being Cousins and if anything the refs dig in and refuse to even consider that he might be right. There's a fine line between sticking up for yourself and just being argumentative, but I think we could do with a lot more fire from the rest of the team. I think a big reason DeMarcus is upset is that he's not afraid to call BS when it's warranted but then he looks back and nobody on the team is with him. We just hang him out to dry. Rondo showed some fire earlier in the season but he's settled down after the public shaming. I don't know where the relationship stands between DeMarcus and Rudy Gay but I don't recall ever seeing Rudy Gay stick up for him this year which isn't a good sign.

I don't know that George Karl in particular is doing anything wrong on this issue -- I doubt he can make himself audible during a heated moment anyway. But he's the symbolic figure in charge and it's hard to express anger at the collective idea of the team for failing to combat the "Boogie is an out of control complainer" storyline. Personally I think Grant Napier could do with a good punch in the face, but that doesn't really solve anything.

Just because he's one of the better players in the league doesn't give him the right to act the way he does. Grow up already. The play that got everybody all upset was the play where Collison took the ball to the basket in transition and there was no call. Watch that play again. It's not a foul! The defender was just running from point A to point B and Collison sidestepped into him and tried to make it look like the defender pushed him. Not the case! Collision initiated all of that.

Also, on the potential flagrant review I was watching DMC's reaction after they announced that there was no foul. He had this sheepish grin on his face like the entire world is out to get him. Again, GROW UP! I'm just so tired of his antics, his reactions, his facial expressions. Yes, he puts up numbers but he doesn't make others around him better. He's uninspiring and he has a loser's mentality. I'm all for moving him this summer and starting fresh.

DeMarcus Cousins has been here six years and entire time has been one immature dumb self-defeating emotional explosion after another. No one can deny the big kids (hesitate to use word "mans") talent but when is enough-enough? When does he grow up, become a professional, turning 26 in five months? So what to do about it NOW and into next season at the new arena. I have no idea what to do. Build around Boogie with yet another new coach? Calipari for boat load of zillions? But we've been doing coaching carousel forever, rebuilding in fits and starts endlessly. Could it work this time - maybe? Trade him? OK, can we get comparable value? Who? What? If not then Kings could be looking at another six years of frustration - unless Vlade produces one hell of a miracle trade. So there are a few that see no change AT ALL. That's quite amazing. We had a player who couldn't make it to half time because of the number of fouls he had to a guy who is mastering his fouls quite well. That is indisputable. The rest of it is a matter of perspective. I see him talking to refs between plays and who also is getting some star calls - getting the break when in the past he would get a foul. No doubt others don't see it at all.

We don't win when he is on the court and others think he is the cause of losses. Should we unload him and see what happens? It could hardly be worse, right?

He's ours, folks. I don't see any change in that. If you want a guy to pitchfork endlessly, you've got him. You also have a guy scoring 30 pts a game. That's the problem. He gets rebounds. If you assume nothing will ever change, rant on. I see him changing. I see the refs changing. Vlade says he won't trade him. That's quite a pickle. What does Vlade see?

It makes my blood boil with the narrative/propaganda that Napear has successfully spun (and gotten his toadies Jason & Nate to parrot) that this franchise has "catered" to Demarcus his whole career.

They've hung him out to dry continuously. Seldom defended him - the whole coaching staff - when he has been jobbed by the refs (and there are literally HUNDREDS of examples - I'd wager a mix-tape could be made of Demarcus' career and it would show an endless parade of bullcrap calls against him, with nary a whisper of opposition by his own coaching staff, much less outrage or inquiry or any fuss put up by his front office) he is left on his own to lobby the refs (invariably unsuccessfully).

Rondo and Demarcus PROVED earlier this year that they are veterans, trying to act as leaders and dialogue with Karl. This was already proven by their actions.

Meanwhile he's on pace to be the first player to average 27pts 11rebs a game since Shaq in 2002-03, 13 years ago, and one of only 7 HOFS (Cuz, Shaq, Webb, Hakeem, Mailman, Barkley, Moses) to do it in the last 40 years.

So exactly what are we tired of here? Because whatever Boogie is doing seems to be working on a rather epic scale. Maybe some of the also rans should consider adopting some of his self destructive habits.

From a fan's perspective, I'm tired of watching his emotions get the best of him. I don't care what his numbers are. He can't win 30 games and he makes everybody (including me) miserable. I'd rather trade him for young players and watch them play hard next year and win 25 games. At this point, I'm just not convinced that he has the mental makeup to ever be "The Guy" on a team. It gives me nightmares to think of how he would break down in a heated playoff series. That's where the men are separated from the boys.

His attitude creates a toxic environment, look at Rudy in that video clip, he just looks like a defeated soul that is indifferent at this point of Cousins antics. You will never win with your best player always on edge and ready to explode at any given moment, it just permeates down the roster. You can tell teammates are just tired of his attitude but have to put up with it because of his talent(same as the fanbase). Always telling ourselves "look at the talent", well yes he is talented but his intangibles are terrible, not a good leader, not very professional, plays defense when he wants to, trots down the floor 80% of the time. The excuse this year will be that Karl is terrible(he has been) but again Cousin's HOF season will net us 33 wins.

Another thing....I know you understand the game and have a strong knowledge of the history of the game. I respect you and your opinions even though you and I butt heads a lot with DeMarcus. You like to post about his stats and how they rank up against other great players. But the thing is, this is not fantasy basketball where you win when you have a bunch of guys who put up stats. This is real life. The cohesiveness of a team is important. Certain players have the ability to inspire others to play better than they normally would. I believe DMC is the opposite. You can't put a number on that. You just have to go by feel and the eye test. But if you must insist on using stats, then you can't ignore the fact that he hasn't won 30 games in this league. You just can't.

People no longer bat an eye when he has a 30-12 game either. Normally that would have been considered remarkable but we no longer are impressed.

Think about it, if you're a 1000 career winning future HOF coach who's won most of your games through your specific offense, why change it? Why change it for a bunch of players who don't know what winning feels like?

Hypothetically, what would've happened if Vlade suspended Cousins for his 1st incident? Would he have learned to respect Karl while helping the team come together? Would we have gone on some type of miracle run?

Don't think you are being fair. I linked earlier to where Vlade had lots of techs as a player, but no one seemed to care.

He's setting a bad example for guys like WCS. A bad culture. No matter what the issues of the team, coaches, owners, playing time whatever. You stay professional and keep it in house. Now you've already got your high draft pick rookie making public comments. This just isn't good enough.

I just can't see this team succeeding with Cousins as the lead man.

I'd like to hear what the FO or organization has done well enough to defend in the past 5 years or so.
