County Board of Supervisors meeting: County contribution to the Arena proposal

She referred to the downtown railyards as a "gem". And explained she got lost in the PBP parking lot.

It's a gem of waste, sure. And if you are dumb enough to admit you got lost in a parking lot.....

Seems to be pushing back against some of the nay-sayers on the premise that they did not read the proposal/do not know what they are talking about... but all in politician-ese.

Always liked Serna.

Roberta MacGlashian <sp?> is up; the increase of funding to parks seems to be tying their hands; how can they vote against more ongoing $$ for regional parks?

Not to get off topic, but just ran into KJ walking up J st and thanked him and asked when we're breaking ground on the new arena, he said beginning of 2013.

Note: This really just means that they will allow county staff to just explore it and then come back with a proposal. Nothing set in stone.

So, one small battle won.

His father Joe Serna, (late) former mayor of Sac saved Kings in Sac first time back in 1997 by getting through original loan to franchise and Jim Thomas (former owner). Phil Serna it might be said is only behind Mayor KJ and papa Joe in keeping hope alive for Kings in Sac. A big shout out to Jimmie Yee as well.

I like this point, "I lived in Paris and they don't need a basketball arena to make that city great"... thanks crazy blue vest lady! Now I really understand the truth.

Sorry I'm late on this, but how did she survive in the complexities of Paris if she got lost in a parking lot?

Maybe that's why she never managed to find her way to this:

Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy indoor sports arena

or this

Stade de France

or any of Paris' other more than half dozen sports related venues (including 2 other soccer stadiums).
