Congratulations Coach Westphal

300th career coaching win.

Its been a rough season, and although I'm sure everybody has had at some point criticized the rotations, the way he's handled players, etc. but things are definitely looking up, with the rotations seemingly figured out now and the team is finally clicking. Props.

Props indeed. If they youngsters keep buying into the system, move the ball and continually develop were going to be in with a good 2011

I'll give credit where credit is due. The kids looked prepared and improved from the last time they played the Nuggets, which wasn't so long ago. The Nuggets, OTOH, looked just as sloppy as they did the last time, but found that they couldn't just flip the switch like the last game. Kudos for that. There's still work to do, but we'll keep this thread positive.

It seems like the wave of negativity finally broke for Westphal, and now he's surfing very nicely, thank you. Just when the fake article came out about him being fired, just when the Maloofs promptly denied it and declared that he wasn't going anywhere, what do you know, the Kings actually started winning some games. Coincidence? I doubt it. Would the team have won those games if the wave had broke on Westphal instead, giving us an "interim" head coach? I doubt that very much as well.

Here's a friendly slap on the back from me to show appreciation for the good work he is doing and the massive headache that this group this year has handed him.

People have complained here a lot about rotations, playing time, starting nods and changes but from my view when you have had a fat Greene, a wild, unpredictable ego like Omri, a changed Tyreke, not the man he was last year, a proven Dalembert who missed all of training camp, a Cousins who was overweight and winded, a Landry who was not like last year and, and, and .......... it's no wonder to me that he had a small amount of difficulty finding guys to perforn for the team. Even our good advisers on this site, like you and me, could not agree for a week at a time who should be played and who shouldn't. So I have no problem with how Westphal has managed this team this year. I think it's getting better now. Many of the players have worked through their problems to a better spot right now. Here's hoping it keeps up. I think it will. Appreciate that we have a good, effective head coach for the Kings in Westphal.

congrats paul westphaul. Enjoying the kings play as of late. Keep it up. kinda surprised people are accusing him of ragging on the kings. Does he really seem like that kind of person at all?
