[NBA] Comments that don't warrant a thread (OCT)

I… don’t? I don’t do #KingsTwitter any more, but this site at least seemed favorable toward acquiring him at a reasonable price.

I was against trading an unprotected pick, which I mean (gesturing towards everything) remains the right call.

I thought I remembered seeing this here… definitely a big chunk of Kings Reddit, maybe I just got my forums crossed.

You were against the Kuminga trade for their asking price lol. Switching up?

Na just saying they won’t be trading him now with how he’s playing and the teams success. Would make no sense unless there getting a forward in return our trash ass vets won’t even get them to pick up the phone

An unprotected pick is still rich

It’s okay, he would’ve just gotten in Cam Boozer’s way anyways.

If the Kings end up drafting Cam Boozer, I will probably be okay with missing out on Kuminga. The 'probably' is because he has yet to play an official game of college basketball yet and I remember being thrilled about the prospect of drafting Marvin Bagley until I actually saw how he played against college competition.

do we really believe the Warriors were ever going to trade Kuminga to the same division? they played the waiting game and we'll see if it pays off but the Kings have never been in the conversation, Warriors were just doing their part to participate
well for an unprotected Kings pick they probably would. we'd probably miss the playoffs via play in and shoot to the #1 pick.

I mean, the exhibition against Tennessee was amazing numbers against a great team that was trying, so unofficial or not that's one.

He was matched up with Nate Ament who is another guy slated to be picked early in the draft so it’s not like he was matched up with Sac State or something.

He made Ament look very thin and kinda raw as a prospect.
Yeah. Ament is your typical “gotta project him in four or five years” prospect big. There’s an interesting player in there somewhere but it’s going to take some development to get it out there. Boozer’s already got everything pretty much put together in a clean package. (Helps that he’s playing a similar position to his dad)

Remember when Kings fans didn’t want him because he was a bad player or whatever? Lmao

If it’s true that removing a protection could’ve closed the deal, then this will just be another tale of woe in the next couple of years that takes up whole segments on D-Lo and KC in shows after losses. A fumble.

We aren’t getting Kuminga as an unrestricted free agent. That we know.

We’ll see how big of a fumble it turns out to be, but I’m pretty sure it will turn out to be one

I'm pretty sure this is exactly the case. GS wanted the unprotected pick, which most of Kings twitter (and this forum) scoffed at.

I think I landed on the fact that I wouldn't have traded our unprotected FRP (would have done the Minny 2031), BUT if our FO actually had an all-star valuation on Kuminga, as was reported, then they should not even think about pulling the trigger. You don't let a guy you think has that sort of upside go over pick protections.
