[NBA] Comments that don't warrant a thread (OCT)

Yes, but I happen to have Prime and Peacock*, so I don't care.

*(and I didn't just get just get Peacock to watch the NBA, I already had it; I actually got Peacock to watch swimming and track and field)

thank you for the insight. I suppose league pass will not be in the plans then. this also means that once Playoff action comes around, these platforms will be airing them with no alternative options for non-subscribers

I honestly loved the Peacock and Prime broadcast. Such a step up from the ESPN slop and opening night in particular was super enjoyable

Agreed! The broadcasts were pretty great. Those crews should be feeling good about their debuts. Nice balance of personality and proper analysis. Feels like one of the real bright spots in a rather strange week for the NBA.

My general thoughts on Cooper were like Brandon Ingram type offensively, but a monster defender/weak-side rim protector. Him being put in a lead-creator role is asinine
The crazy thing is that this is the second time Jason Kidd has done this and it cost him his job with the Bucks when Giannis didn’t in fact turn into 7’1” Magic Johnson with stretch Armstrong arms.

Looks like the Grizz did again and all that pre-draft hype was real. Cedric Coward Totally different player than Bane but could be end up being better because of the 2 way potential.

Tyler Ford just let Cam Thomas shoot free throws with blood pouring down his face, after they couldn't get it under control during the mandatory infectious disease timeout, rather than force Brooklyn to burn a timeout of their own, so that he wouldn't be disqualified. I can't decide whether I think that's good officiating or horrendous officiating.

I feel like the “not being allowed to return to the game if you can’t shoot penalty free throws for whatever reason” rule probably made sense like thirty years ago but it’s probably done more harm than good overall.

I don’t think the Spurs were fully prepared to play a team so firmly devoted to tanking this season that they’re already just letting MPJ and Cam hog all the shots in game three of the year.

The Mavs are doing everything they bc an to ruin Cooper Flagg’s career lol

How do you build a “win now” roster without acquiring a point guard to run your team while Kyrie is injured?

do we really believe the Warriors were ever going to trade Kuminga to the same division? they played the waiting game and we'll see if it pays off but the Kings have never been in the conversation, Warriors were just doing their part to participate

Remember when Kings fans didn’t want him because he was a bad player or whatever? Lmao
I… don’t? I don’t do #KingsTwitter any more, but this site at least seemed favorable toward acquiring him at a reasonable price.

I was against trading an unprotected pick, which I mean (gesturing towards everything) remains the right call.
