[NBA] Comments that don’t warrant a thread (JUN/TDOS)

Yeah, entirely different circumstance with Hali. The Achilles didn't come out of nowhere; he played on a strained calf. Took a risk and unfortunately the worst outcome happened.

I'm certainly not opposed to less games though, in the regular season and playoffs.

And I can't remember who it was but the other game when Hali was shooting around he had that tape going right up his Achilles they said he's having issues with that from what it looked like.

Man, I loved an 82-game season at a much different stage of my life, when I had far fewer obligations and plenty of time to watch multiple Kings games a week. But these days, watching more than maybe 40 games of my stressful, sad-sack team every season is exhausting for me, and I don't play in the games. Reducing to 62 per season just makes all the sense in the world to me from an engagement and injury standpoint. Whether or not it actually reduces the rate of injury, fewer games simply means fewer opportunities for injury.

As for the playoffs, I would do 3-5-7-7. Create some chance for havoc in the first round, ratchet up the game count for the semis a bit, then go the full 7 for the conference finals and the Finals. 7-7-7-7 just goes on and on and on, and the Finals hardly feel special by the time they arrive.

Might have to give up Keegan and Carter to have a contending offer

If the Kings are going for it, don't piece out the little youth/picks they have. Sell it all for a haul. That's how it's done. The Kings always try and build this 13 deep team with no superstar talent. Wrong, get the star and worry about the depth later.

No way a deal gets done without Joshyjosh31 coming on here and voicing his frustration by running off a string of consecutive posts (lets say 10+) with very little to no punctuation marks in said posts because the Kings mortgaged their entire future for one player.

So, thanks, but no thanks. I'll pass.

That seems counter-productive. I'd rather he trade Keon Ellis if Jaylen Brown is the target. At least then he'd be consolidating some of that SG depth. And we'd still need to acquire a PG and unload a lot of salary to be able to build a real team around Jaylen and Keegan (without half of our first round picks for the next 5-6 years).

The Kings wouldn't even get the phone picked up. Besides, this would only make sense to overload the star talent next to Domas and LaVine. Keegan, Keon, Carter, 1sts. Might get their foot in the door.

Do a bunch of teams have 45mil+ salary players available in a trade?

If a guy like Brown is actually available, it's very rare it's for player talent back. It's for picks.
