Coby Karl just got waived by his old man... He's 6'5" and can play the SG and SF wings. I am not sure about his strengths/weaknesses/etc. But I am sure he could be signed cheap, be less risky than delonte west, and potentially better than Adam Morrison... Thoughts?
Probably right... He's like a prospect that never turned out... However, even though he got little floor time, he played with the Lakers, Cavs, and Nuggets... You would have to be pretty good to get time on those squads.

Karl never played an NBA minute for the Nuggets. He played 5 minutes for the Cavs. He played 71 minutes for the Lakers. I'm inclined to disagree that such a record makes one look like a good player. To me, such a record makes one look like an absolute bottom-of-the-barrel player who is willing to sign for the league minimum in order to be the #13/#14 guy on a squad that never intends to use him except for garbage time. Teams like the Lakers and the LeBrons don't really want to overpay for their deep bench, since they pay so much for their top guys. And they don't have minutes for their deep bench. The league says you gotta sign so many players, and they do. The ideal guy: somebody who can hold their own on an NBA court, but barely, so they'll play for the minimum and they won't complain about getting no PT - they're happy just to suit up. And in garbage time (or worse, an emergency) they might not embarrass themselves.
