Coach Whiz

I thought the Monarchs lacked intensity in the first half, but I attributed it to a bit of an emotional let-down after the LA series. Now I just read in the Sac Bee that apparently it may have had to do more with Coach Whiz, who was coughing up blood this week and is awaiting biopsy results on a lesion on his lung.

OMG...our girls knew this and were playing under that much stress? If so, then their comeback in the 2nd half was all the more marvelous.

Edit: BTW-there is a prayer thread in the Lounge forum. Many of our members do not frequent the M's forum, so I will post this info there, as well.

I just read that as well, in the Seattle Times up here. Coach Whiz is a class act, and in all the interviews I've heard and read from him, I really respect him as a coach and a person. I hope everything turns out OK for him.

Just heard on the radio this morning that Coach Whiz doesn't have cancer. There was a leakage in the lungs which was causing him to cough up blood. I'm glad it wasn't bad as they had thought.
