Yeah probably deserves its own thread. The league can’t make the penalty a slap on the wrist:
* Leonard will likely receive a significant ban.
* Clippers GM may not have known. This crap could easily been a Ballmer side deal.

Is it too easy to say that his job at the Clippers was mostly a "no-show" job?
Because Monte was going to trade the farm for Abunoby or Siakam and then Vivek refused to negotiate extensions and planned to lowball them even though they both told the Kings thanks but no thanks and that they planned on testing free agency.
I would like to hear more about how the Mavs were able to retain Dirk for ~25m when he allegedly had 90m+ offers please and welcome.
I would like to hear more about what Cuban's thoughts are regarding the Aspiration whistleblower who is on video claiming that they were explicitly told the Kawhi arrangement was to get around the NBA salary cap.
"They're just trying to get attention" would be my guess?

Ooh, this is a can of worms the NBA doesn't want opened. You know teams have done this forever.
It's a big part of why players want to go to the big markets. Oh do you want a condo from Greg Lukenbill or a 30m paycheck from a company that has 50m in assets and does nothing.

And how much does this sort of thing contribute to "I wanna play for the Lakers"???
If this actually blows up and the NBA is forced to hand out massive penalties to the Clippers, we might see a subtle shift of talent away from the big market teams as everybody quietly whistles past the graveyard.
My only comment at this time is, Pablo has been on a run, man!

Ballmer may have got scammed depending on how much money he took out from Aspiration before it filed bankruptcy. However, the fact that the Kawhi endorsement deal was strictly tied to him being a Clipper is a dead giveaway.
