Charlotte Bobcats Reportedly Shopping the #2 Pick

Multiple sources tell Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld.com that the Charlotte Bobcats are looking to move the second overall pick in the June 28 draft.

Kennedy writes that Bobcats officials have yet to contact Kansas forward Thomas Robinson, whom some project as the second pick after Kentucky forward Anthony Davis. Instead, Kennedy writes that Charlotte has met with players expected to be available later in the first round, such as North Carolina center Tyler Zeller.

The Bobcats don’t seem to be in love with anyone at this point, which means a different team could be selecting second on draft night.

It's called buying low. He was actually a stud the 2 years before with the Bobcats, and brings everything this team needs from the 4. He started taking jumpshots instead of taking it to the rim last year. Pair him with JT and PF is covered for the next 5 years.

He averaged 10 and 6 with 1.5 blocks in 20 off the bench. He developed a midrange shot that disappeared this year. He's overpaid but only 25 and still long and athletic.

However, Thomas did defend and rebound. While he makes mistakes at that end, he offsets them with his athleticism. Thomas blocked 3.07 shots per 40 minutes, ranking second among power forwards, and was also among the leaders at his position in steals and rebounds. The Bobcats gave up 5.25 points per 100 possessions less with him on the court, even though he was often playing out of position as a center. I still don't know why he wasn't starting, but Thomas clearly needs to play a larger role this season.

He's tried to get by on just his athleticism his whole career, and you'd think at some point, a lightbulb would go off in his head. If we were to trade anyone, for Thomas, I'm done with the Kings. Thomas is actually a good example of what Drummond might become. Drummond is obviously bigger, but they both suffered from a lack of energy/motor and tried to get by soley on athleticism

The bigger makes a huge difference thre. Aside from attitude, Thomas was small enough to almost be a 3/4 tweener and in fact came i the league claiming he was going to be a SF. If you're smalle rthan the other guy you'd BETTER outwork him, because otherwise you are going to be a mosquito on the windshield.
