Chad Fords live chat .. kings info included..

Chad Ford is holding a live chat on espn.com as usual .. only thing hes mentioned so far as the kings are concerned is ..

Don, Sacramento: Does the Pacers trade for TJ Ford mean that Augustin will be available to the Kings?

Chad Ford : There's a great chance of that. The Blazers are trying to move ahead of Sacramento to get him, but if they can't pull off a deal, then he falls in the Kings lap at 12. Also there's an outside chance that Jerryd Bayless could be there. They'd love that. If both guys are gone I hear it's between Roy Hibbert and Donte Greene.

...stay tuned .. itll be a fun day

Oh no
Surely GP likes Randolph ahead of those? I knew Hibbert was a possibility, but I'm not high on Greene.

Obviously this isn't anything concrete, but I wouldn't be surprised. Geoff usually finds a way to annoy the fans to no end.

I dunno if we pick Donte Greene, I might boo Geoff at that draft party. Not the player because he might turn out to be amazing. But at this point its blatant ignorance not to select a PG or a 4. I think if he wants Hibbert, trade down and get him and maybe get a PG prospect with the later round pick.

If we get Bayless (for some unknown reason) I'd be estatic. Even though he isn't the pass-first PG we're looking for, his skill alone and athleticism would make up for it. Plus, we can't go wrong with Arizone PGs...

The only position that should be relatively off limits is the 2. And maybe the 5. 1, 3 and 4 are all draftable. Ron cannot be in the long term plans of the Kings. If he is, well it's

Take into account that I know nothing about these college players except from what I hear from the media and you guys.

Wasn’t Jerryd Bayless considered one of the top prospects this year and even last year? How can he drop all the way to us if he’s that good of a point guard? Plus, did we even work him out? Thanks

Don't worry about that, Bayless will not drop to us. He is one of the best prospects in this draft and will probably be one of the better players due to his level of skill and athleticism. The chances of him being are around for us at 12 are very slim.

I think the 5 is prety draftable, I don't see any reason Spencer can't play the 4 if you get a big space eating rebounding shot blocking machine for the 5.

Yep, that's why I used the word "maybe". Spencer is promising, but unproven. I'm not sure if he could play PF though.

I dunno. Every year a good prospect drops to some team because teams are drafting for need etc. Like in 05 when Danny Granger dropped to the pacers.

Possible, but I don't see it happening with Bayless. I think it's more likely Gordon, which is what others think too.

If Gordon does drop, what do we do? He's a talented player, little undersized. Natural SG. I think it would give us alot of options to trade down although we likely wouldn't have any trading partners to give us two mid-late 1st rounders, which is what would be fair for a guy like Gordon.
Alot of teams would like to get their hands on him.
